Cotton Bowl 2015

This year, Dakota and I joined Trey and Cheyenne at the Cotton Bowl game.

Cheyenne had a good time resting her head on my lap.

We took a few pics before leaving the house to go to the game...

Trey's uncle also went with us.

Sleep Eating & Losing to Ole Miss

Dakota likes to multi-task. She can eat and sleep at the same time.

This weekend, Amanda, Drew and her boys watched the Texas game at our place. Her and her husband graduated from ole miss, so when we told them we are TEXAS fans, they were excited to watch the game at our place. There was a lot of trash talking going on. Too bad Trey was not in town to enjoy the company.

In the end, TEXAS lost and Ole Miss won. Dakota was a sad Longhorn.

Coton Bowl 2012

Before Trey and Cheyenne went to Cowboys Stadium to see Kansas vs. Arkansas, they stopped by my workplace. Trey wanted me to fix Cheyenne's hair and Chey wanted to show me her new booster seat. It was a nice pick me up seeing them during my work break.

Before they left, Chey said, "Momma, you stay here!" She thought I was going with them and she wasn't having it. It was HER Daddy time and she didn't want a third wheel. Well, then!

Uncle Bubba met Trey and Cheyenne at the game. This is his friend...sorry, I don't know her name.

They went early to the game to catch the Pep Rally.

This is the video of them last year at the LSU Pep Rally.

They had sooo much fun and Trey said Chey did great. By the time they made it home it was one o'clock in the morning. Trey said Chey fell asleep on the way home. Since she was in the truck, riding in the middle seat, she was snuggled up next to him <--------- that is the sweetest thing!!!!!!! Now, that's a great finish to a daddy daughter date. <3

I'm so glad Chey got a chance to spend time with her Daddy.

Riding on Flames

Tonight is the Cotton Bowl. Trey took the day off to spend time with Cheyenne. I totally forgot to leave the carseat with Trey. We only have one carseat for Chey, so Trey went to the store and bought her a new one, but not just any seat --- a booster! She picked out the seat with flames all by herself. I'm not going to ask how he got her to the store to buy it....I'm so happy we now have a back-up seat.
She Picked Her Own Booster Seat
Tonight, I went out to dinner with Justin and Brittany. Tomorrow is Brittany's birthday, so I made her a scarf, similar to the one I made last week. I almost didn't gift it to her because (to me) it has a lot of imperfections, luckily the type of yarn I use is forgiving. :) The good thing about infinity scarfs is when you wrap it, the yarn blends and it looks pretty no matter what.

Trey and Cheyenne are still at the Cotton Bowl. They are staying up late, while I'm at home in bed about to fall asleep. What is everyone doing this weekend? I just watched a movie on Netflix called HappyThankYouMorePlease. It was alright. Now, it's time to rest and prepare for my run tomorrow.

This picture was taken about a week ago, I just keep forgetting to post it. Pregnant Belly. I have another doctors appointment in a few days and hopefully, next month we'll find out the sex of the baby.

Look What the Mailman Delivered

Trey and Cheyenne received their Cotton Bowl Tickets. This is an event Trey wants to take Cheyenne to every year. Last year, he didn't have to purchase a ticket for her, but this time, he had to.

LSU Band At The Cotton Bowl (2011)

Cotton Bowl 2011

Friday, Trey took Cheyenne to the Cotton Bowl game at Cowboys Stadium. This is something he wants to take her to every year. A Daddy daughter date, something for them to do together.
Before Heading to the Cotton Bowl 2011
Cheyenne was eager to leave with him. She was waving goodbye to me as I snapped these photos. "Bye Momma! BYE!" And she kept waving.

Last year, Trey went with his Uncle and they both enjoyed it. Trey's uncle went again this year.

I made Cheyenne a lunch to go and she smuggled it into the stadium, that rebel. She loves her some fettucini alfredo.

Football & Friends

We had a great time seeing Linda and Steve. We went to the OSU vs. Texas game and sat in the OSU student section. Trey and I are Texas fans, so it was hard to sit still every time Texas scored.
Linda Going for OSU. I'm Going For Texas
The game was on Saturday, Halloween night, so Trey dressed as a "Retarded Oklahoma State Fan."
The teeth really put his costume over the top.
Steve and some crazy guy who doesnt know which team he's going for.
Okay, here is Steve and Trey

We didn't take Cheyenne to the game. While we were out, she had a play date, with Linda and Steve's friends from church.
Our Halloween
We stayed in town long enough to watch the Cowboys game, Sunday afternoon.
Gotta Represent when the Cowboys play
I tried to show Linda how to start a scarf, but I couldn't remember exactly how to make the edges straight. So, it was interesting, but hey she's got the double stitch down. Since, the trip I found a video online and refreshed my memory and forwarded it on to her.

It was still fun and we got some good laughs out of it.

Trey's Injured Back and Sleeping Patterns

What did you call me?

This is so boring...

Okay, I'll give you one cute picture, but that's it.

Stop taking pictures and put some clothes on me!!!!

Yesterday, I took Trey to the doctors office and we scrambled to find someone near us to watch Cheyenne. Luckily, Heather was available and didn't mind. About Trey's back, he injured it and he's taking some muscle relaxers. We're not sure how long he'll be out of work, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was out for a full week.

He usually helps me with Cheyenne in the evenings, but it's been difficult since he has to rest. Tuesday night, he couldn't even hold her because he was in so much pain. Last night, he was feeling a little better, so I had him watch her, while I went to bed around 8 pm. It felt so good to go to bed that early.

Cheyenne is still doing okay with her sleeping. I feel real rested and I rarely take naps, but I'm a little scared I will be exhausted once I go back to work. I hope I'm wrong.

Well, tonight we're having a group of friends over to watch the Oklahoma/Florida bowl game. It should be a good one.

TCU Wins Big! & Working From Home with a Sinus Infection

Pre Game

The final score: TCU 32 BYU 7

Tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness
The TCU game was such a great experience. We had pretty good seats, considering they were in the upper deck. Everybody was yelling during the game and I wanted to join in, but I couldn't because of a sore throat. Yesterday afternoon, while working I knew I was coming down with something. I'm self diagnosing myself with a sinus infection.

So, today I'm working from home. Right now, I'm about to take a quick lunch break and then get back to business. Currently, I'm converting a set of analog tapes to mp3's via Garage Band and iTunes. It'll keep me busy for the rest of the day.

Even though I feel under the weather, I'm enjoying the opportunity to work from home. I have plenty of water within arms reach and a box of kleenex. Earlier, I had a glass of herbal tea and it really did help to ease the soreness in my throat.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Tomorrow I have a luncheon at the church to attend.

College Football Game

Tonight, we're going to the Brigham Young vs. Texas Christian football game. I've never been to a college game, so I'm looking forward to the experience.

Ft. Worth is finally getting fall like weather! The temperature should dip down to the mid 50's, so I'm going to bundle up. Which gets me thinking about clothes. I'm wondering if I have anything purple to wear. I should, since I went to ACU, but I stopped getting free purple shirts about 2 years ago.
