Dakota is almost 15 months old and still clinging to my chest. How long is too long for breastfeeding? There for a while, I thought she was weaning just fine, but recently --- she seems to want me more than ever. I'm not in a huge hurry to stop, but how old is too old for a baby to be breastfed? 18 months? 2 years old? 16? <---- kidding!
Here are some comical posters about nursing.
Sometimes I wish men were capable of lactating. I mean really this is 2013, where's the pill? Haha!
Seriously! Pumping 4 days a week at work, was enough. If I'm out and about I don't have time for all that nonsense.
Dakota hated being covered by the blanket, so I had to and still do -- discreetly feed her in public. Most people don't even realize what's going on or they don't care.
People make jokes like this all the time. I don't mind. I think it's funny.
For the win!

Box till you Drop
It's that old saying, kids just want to play with the box.
Ask any parent, it's so true!
I bought a garbage can and I was planning on tossing the box to the garage, but Chey asked me if she could play with it. Sure!
This cardboard playhouse entertained them for nearly an hour.
And yes, I realize Chey has outgrown her shorts...growth spurt.
Also, Dakota tummy is falling out of her clothes.
I seems like there's a lot of the same pictures of the girls with the box, but they looked so happy and I couldn't stop taking photos. I love these girls!

We Have One More Year Until School
While my mommy friends are waving goodbye to their school age children (summer is over??), I'm sitting over here thinking I have one more year until Cheyenne reaches that point. However, we do have ballet school. Her tuition has been paid for in advance so she's fully comitted to the fall and spring. Thank you small business account.
I attended a parents meeting, while Chey went to her first class. After hearing about the Ballet Guild, I decided that's something I'm interested in, so now I'm a member. Once I get assigned to do something, I let you know what the guild is all about.
Chey had a wonderful first day and a wonderful teacher. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, but I overheard her teacher talking with another staff. She was so excited and said, "I'm so happy to be here, teaching!" She seemed genuine and I appreciate that kind of passion.
Here's to another wonderful semester of ballet!

A Nice Run Near the Lake
I ended this run week, by running to the lake.
Every time I run near the lake, I ask myself, "Why don't you do this more often?" It was absolutely gorgeous!
The lake level is low. We need more rain. I ran a little on the road and when I got close to the water I ran on the rocks.
I don't know why, but today, I'm really sore. I'm not doing anything different. I've been consistently running 25-30 miles per week for a while now.

My Week in Photos
My friends at EnduraLAB are bringing back weekly run group! I'm so excited! I ran with them Wednesday night near west 7th street. As a group we ran 3 miles and afterwards I ran one more. It's starting to get dark sooner.
Dakota is a cheese ball.
Trey watched them and put them to bed, while I was running.
This stuff is so freakin' good....
Why can't I just sit down and eat the entire can in one sitting? Why? Woe is me. Look, Dakota understands.

Video Messages, Baby Fights Back, a Sing-along & More (Video Uploads)
When Trey works late, sometimes we send him a video message. Dakota was confused on what kind of emotion to express, so she expressed two!
:)
:(
Every now and then Cheyenne gets rough with her little sister, here is an example of that
And Cheyenne's response: She's happy!!!!!
Don't worry, Dakota fights back, check out her killer leg jabs
It's always a sing-along when 22 plays

Seat Promotion
Dakota just got promoted. Mrs. Amanda upgraded her.
I still need to get Cheyenne's old carseat and put it my car. The carrier is too heavy!
Remember when Cheyenne was promoted?

Dakota is 14 Months Old
We laughed hard watching Dakota wear Chey's 5T dress. Dakota got so mad when she started tripping over the fabric (while crawling), so after about 5 minutes I took the dress off her.
Watching Cheyenne carry Dakota is probably one of my favorite things to watch.
So, Dakota is 14 months old and I'm still lactating. We are consistent with two feedings a day, but on weekends it's more like 3 or 4. I'm thinking she will wean herself. We are probably a few weeks away from that point.

I took my Nike+ Watch to Six Flags. How Many Miles Did I Walk?
I had an excellent run week and even had a chance to focus on weight training and core. After two back to back long runs, I noticed that today my hip (on the left side) is feeling tender. I should be okay to run tomorrow -- I'm thinking I will slow down my pace tomorrow. Today, is a rest from running. I'll either rest all together or I might do the elliptical or weights.
Have you ever wondered how many miles you walk over the course of a day at an amusement park?
Well, yesterday when we were at the park I activated my GPS watch. By the end of the day, we walked 3.7 miles. I paused my watch while we were sitting or waiting or at least when I remembered to. We didn't spend the entire day out there, we were only there maybe 5 hours.

Sunday Funday at Six Flags
This morning, we went to church and afterwards went to Six Flags. We ate lunch out there and also, rode a few rides.
I think Sunday's are my favorite days to go. The park doesn't seem as crowded.
Cheyenne drove us around in a car...
Trey and Dakota sat in the backseat.
And I rode shotgun to document the event.
Dakota and I shared a tall cup of ice water. That's how we stayed cool. The high today was 91 degrees.

Preston's Birthday Party
We had a wonderful time at Preston's 2nd Birthday Party.
Preston is Amanda's, youngest son. He so cute! He calls Amanda Mommy and he calls me Momma. He hears Cheyenne call me momma, so that's where he gets it from, he assumes that's my official name.
Dakota was everywhere!
We make friends, wherever we go
Pictured on the right is Luke, Amanda's oldest son.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Have a great Sunday.

My Week in Photos
I'm exhausted, I woke up this morning and ran 13 miles. Even though I'm tired, I thought I'd throw some photos up.
I don't care how old you are, it's pretty exciting when you get mail from a friend. Thanks Brianna for the surprise!
Dakota and I made new friends and they are twins.
Friday night we had Family Date Night at the Keg! I got so full eating appetizers, that I didn't even finish my applewood bacon wrapped filet <--- that's a mouthful. That's ok. I had it for brunch, today.
Amanda sent me this photo. She was prepping food for all the kids. This past week, she was watching another girl, as well. Monday, I usually pack all the food for my girls for the entire week. I guess, this day Amanda wanted to plate all the food. Cheyenne had the orange plate.
While I work, the girls get to do fun stuff like go to the park. Cheyenne, not pictured, was probably running around chasing Luke.
But it's ok that they go to the park and are out and about because then all they want to do afterwards is this...
Chey grabbed my phone and took the following pictures.
What Trey normal does when he's home.
What I normally do, when I'm at home.
And what Dakota does...
