Space Ship Fancy

Last week, my washing machine died. It served our family for a longggg six years. What's up with appliances these days? It had enough of Trey's dirty work clothes, enough of my smelly Lululemon tanks, enough of Chey's streaked bottoms and I think the final straw was Dakota's leaky bloomers.

Here is a photo from a while back. The old washing machine is on the right side. We got it from Sam's Club when we moved into our home. We purchased the matching dryer, but there was a mistake and we ended up with this upgraded GE dryer. I like mistakes like that.

This is our new LG washing machine. It has a lot of neat features, that I've already used and the coolest part is when it's done with a load, it plays a soothing jingle. Yes, in my opinion that is the best feature! The sanitary feature and speed wash is pretty cool too. It has lots of lights and buttons like a space ship.

We've All Heard it, I Tried it and it Worked!

If a baby is fussy, set her on a washer or dryer. I did and guess, what?? It worked like a charm.
P.S. Mom, that's your favorite shirt. You left it at my house.

Dakota probably stopped fussing because she was confused.
"What's going on????"

Yesterday, she had a low-grade fever and runny nose. I'm putting the pieces together and I'm thinking this might be early signs of teething. However, she doesn't have bumps on her gums, yet.

While I was admiring her little feet, I looked down and noticed her monster toenail. Yikes. I rarely cut her nails and I guess it shows.

What are some baby myths/sayings you've heard about that sounded strange or a little off -- but ended up working?

My Week in Photos

Untitled
This morning I was greeted with a wonderful cold front. It was cool, but not cold. However, it took everything in me, to not break out my boots, hats, scarves, and jackets. It would've been great to go running with the cooler temps, but I was still feeling cruddy, as of this morning. At the moment, I feel much better.
Dakota is Ready for Winter
Early this week, we enjoyed some snuggle, girly time on the sofa.

My weekend chores, look something like this...
The weekend is here.
My Saturday morning breakfast looked something like this...

Hey look, my herb garden is thriving.
My low maintenance herb garden. I water it maybe once a week. How it thrives is beyond me.

My Life Just Got More Organized

I got something I've been wanting for a long time, a laundry organizer. Originally, I wanted Trey to make me a custom organizer with shelves in the laundry room, but he's so busy these days, so I decided to get this. I like it! What do you think?

Let's see...colors, whites, towels, Trey's work clothes. Yeah, that covers it.

It has a home.

In other news, Trey was busy this morning, so Cheyenne joined me on a 7 mile paved trail run. We headed out early this morning and I was hoping to run at least 5 miles. She did better than I expected, so I took full advantage of that and managed to cover 7 miles. That may be a baby jogger PR distance for us.
Here is Cheyenne, being camera shy.

Once I got home, I mowed the yard. Don't ask me where I got all that energy from. Here is Cheyenne watching Sesame Street on the patio. Did you watch Sesame Street? I don't recall watching it, as a child, but it seems like everyone I know grew up watching it. Cheyenne likes it and I like it because it educational.
