Ballet Camp Recitial

We enrolled Cheyenne in a week long ballet camp. This was her third year participating. She loves going! I wanted to enroll Dakota in the three year olds class, but they were full.

Even though Dakota didn't dance, she insisted on wearing ballet slippers.

Ballet Camp 2014

Today, was the end of the week ballet recital. Bria and Chey have had the most amazing week together at camp. They both did an incredible job performing! I'm so proud of them!

Cheyenne can be shy (especially in a ballet setting), but when she has a friend by her side, she seems to break out of her shell. It was exciting to see her perform with so much confidence.
Dakota was a good girl and sat during the entire performance, which allowed me to record Chey's dance.

The B family! It was nice seeing Erin and the girls this week. Mike drove into town for the performance and afterwards, we went out for a quick bite. I told the girls we were celebrating their dance accomplishments! They were thrilled!

Ballet Camp Recital

This past week, Cheyenne participated in a week long ballet camp. It was a 3 hour camp Mon - Fri. At the end of the week, her class had a recital.

The girls were asked to use their favorite doll, to use during one of the dances. It's funny that she picked her American Girl to dance with because last year after ballet camp, we took her to Dallas and bought her that.

She ran and twirled and...

got tired.

But she kept on moving.

We really like her ballet school and we are looking forward to the fall semester!

During the recital Dakota was talking to Cheyenne and reaching out for her, but when it came time to take pictures, Dakota was like -- get away from me!

I guess, she just wanted her fairy wings.

Crazy Dress-Up Day

Today, was day three of ballet camp. It was crazy dress up day and this get-up was Cheyenne's idea.
 
The program seems to be going well. Every morning this week, I've been getting up really early and taking her to Texas Ballet Theater. All the parents and children wait in the lobby until the teacher calls for the kiddos. Then all the kids walk back to the dance studio. I was kind of disappointed that parents weren't invited to the back. However, Friday will make up for that because Cheyenne will have a recital, so I will see her perform then.

The program theme is Angelina Ballerina (it's a PBS cartoon). I don't think, we'll enroll Chey into a fall class, at least not at TBT because they don't have any classes available on Saturday's.

Dakota's is like, what's going on here????
I wonder what kind of activities Dakota will be into? Soccer? Ballet? Gymnastics?
