Dakota is 77 Weeks Old & Chocolate is Always Motivating

If you are like me, you are probably wondering how many months is 77 weeks.
What did I do before google search? I remember my mom had an encyclopedia set and I used it a few times, when I was in elementary school. I also remember using a typewriter to type my 7th grade history paper. Back then, some of my classmates had computers. I had a typewriter.

I found Dakota's motivation to walk, it's cookies! Earlier this week she took 9 steps for a chocolate chip cookie. So, naturally, I've been bribing her since. Another thing I've started is making her hold my hand to walk everywhere. Most of the time, she gets frustrated and tired, but I'm not giving up on her.

First Day at Ballet School

So, I just read the student handbook and whoa momma, they are a no-nonsese company, (in a good way). I can appreciate that.

Some people have asked me about pointe ballet. This company does not offer  that class until dancers are around the age 10 -11 years old. The class, miss thing is taking, is all about gaining appreciation for classical ballet, basic ballet movement and techniques, and becoming more familiar with the vocabulary. I think I've mentioned it before, but parents are not allowed to stay and observe. In a few months, they will have an observation class, so I'll make sure to be there for that one! However, no pictures or video.

Cheyenne came home and she was talking all about Pirouette. 
That would be --- A whirl or spin. A complete turn of the body on one foot. Okay. I'm learning stuff too. While I was at the studio, I passed by a class (most of the classrooms have glass windows) and I saw the advanced (I'm assuming they were the professional dancers practicing). They were doing pirouettes.

I think she's going to have a good semester. She's already made friends. She keeps saying I'm going to ballet school, like Angelina Ballerina!

My Morning Sweetheart

Running is small stuff, in comparison to this cutie pie.

I just want to shrink her and carry her in my pocket, so she will always be with me. This morning she was so lovable. Trey was working out of town last night and she missed him. I told her, "Ok, sit still, so I can take a picture of you and send it to Daddy." She said, "Ohhh-KAY!" Teddy Bear and Baby were off to the side....I had to wait until she had both of them under her arms, before I could take the photo.

She Found My Lip Gloss

Luckily, she couldn't open it. That would've been messy.

Everything Has a Place

There are little things I want to add to this space, like a rug and more hooks. I'm thinking about putting a few hooks below the mirror. They can't stick out too much or they'll hit the door, when it's open. I think this would be a good spot for Cheyenne to hang her jackets and it would also be a good place for skinny purses. I think a small table, you know the tables you see in bathrooms...I'm thinking one like that might work near the outlet.
