Turkey Break
So, the break has been wonderful. I'm house sitting for the director of my film school. Her house is real gothic, so it's a little creepy, but it's been good being away from the drama and fast pace of LA. I like Los Angeles, but I've realized that I love Texas. LA is a nice place to visit, not to live. And I've lived here long enough to know. Good thing I'll be on a plane back home in 2 weeks. Anyway, I spent thanksgiving at a friends apartment. There was a huge group of us from school. This is the first time I've spent thanksgiving away from my family, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I actually enjoyed myself, imagine that. All my roomates, all 4 of them, went home over the break so I've had a chance to spend time at this house by myself and reflect over this past semester. I've learned a lot about myself and about how special the connection of family is. How wonderful friends are and how blessed I am to have people who care about me. And I've realized that failure is only when you don't chase after you dreams, even if people think your crazy because you want to live in LA for a few months while your husband is living and working in Texas. I love my life and I wouldn't change anything.
