Super Dad, Christmas Time, & Family Down the Street

But first, Super Dad Award goes to Trey. Cheyenne is sick, she has croup and today, he stayed at home with her.

My sweet Cheyenne sounds like a seal, when she coughs. Honestly, that's one of the symptoms. It's so sad. Last night, she crawled into our bed at 9:20 pm (yes, we were in bed at that time. I'm actually proud, not embarrassed, perhaps something is wrong with me). My 4 year old sounded like a 90 year old smoker, so Trey put two humidifiers in our room and I gave her a dose of Ibuprofen. It helped. She's doing better.

Oh, hey! Our Christmas tree is decorated! I feel like I can start listening to Christmas music, now. What is your favorite Christmas song? I'm a fan of the song chestnuts roasting on an open fire. I think Trey and I have had our Christmas tree, since Dec. 2005. It was time for a new one. Here is a look at our old tree, last year. Dakota is in the picture too!

Last night, before Chey started sounding like a seal, we decorated the tree. Look at the red ornament. LOL!

I haven't mentioned this on the blog, but my older sister Amy moved to Ft Worth. It's a wonderful blessing to have my sister and niece, nearby.

Amy has an apartment a few miles away from our house and Angelica and her stop by our house for dinner, pretty much every night. We LOVE the family time. Oh and Cheyenne loves Angelica. They play games, color, watch movies, play outside together - everything. So, you can expect to see Amy and Angelica in posts more often.

This will be Dakota's first Christmas and this is her first ornament to put on the tree. Okay, Okay, I did all the work...
