Winter Run

Distance: 8 miles
Total Time: 1:20:00 (Estimation)
Average Pace Per Mile: 10:00
Temp: 37 degrees
Windshield: 29 Degrees

Saturday was a busy day, so I skipped my long run that morning and decided to run this morning, instead. An old college friend and co-worker, Sherri Jo, joined me on the chilly run. I didn't realize this, but she has placed in several races, in the last year. She told me this after I told her to set the pace. So, yeah, that surprised me and I'm pretty sure we ran less that a 10 minute a mile pace, but I was too busy visiting and forgot to set my watch.

It was extremely cold this morning and the Abilene wind didn't help. This is probably the coldest run-- I've ran, this season and to think there are colder mornings to come. I don't know what my limit is, as far as the cold temperature, but I plan on running through the winter. I don't want to run long runs on the treadmill. One, because it gets boring after 5 miles and two it just adds wear and tear to the motor.

This month, I plan on running twelve miles for one of my long runs. I better start working on my music playlist, NOW because it will most definitely be a LONG run. I'm taking music suggestions.
