Cotton Bowl Game. A Daddy-Daughter Tradition.
These people are off to watch the Cotton Bowl game at AT&T Stadium.
OSU vs Missouri. Hey, once upon a time we went to an OSU game with our friends.
Before going to the game, they stopped by to say hi. This year, Mom is going to be uncle Bubba's guest. It looks like Dakota and I are going to have a girls night.

Cotton Bowl, Best Running Week (since forever), Girls Night & More
Friday, Cheyenne hung out with the boys at Cowboys Stadium. This marks her third year to attend the Cotton Bowl.
They got to the stadium early to watch the pep rally. I think Trey has a video of it, I'll see if I can get it from him and post it, here.
Here's a look back at previous Cotton Bowl Games:
(2011) This was taken outside the house, right before they headed off to the game.
The past two years, she's taken food inside the stadium, but she's getting to the age, where she can't really get away with that.
(2012)
She has a good memory because she asked us if she could take food to the game - like before. Not this year, baby.
Before the game the guys and Chey went to guitar center. A worker gave Chey a pair of drumsticks.What in the world is she suppose to do with those????
While they were out doing their thing. My niece, Dakota and I had a girls night out. Our first stop was In-N-Out Burger. The fries are so-so, but I'm obsessed with the protein style burger. Have you tried it??? Amazingly good and cheap!
Afterwards, we went to the mall and got Dakota's ears pierced. When she got her first ear pierced, she had a delayed reaction. It took her about 15 seconds before she started to cry. After a a minute or so, she stopped crying and she was back to her normal self.
I got my ears pierced when I was older and it didn't hurt. If you had your ears pierced and you were old enough to remember, I'd be curious to know if you remember it being painful.
She hasn't been pulling on her ears, so to her, everything seems the same.
From girls night/In-N-Out talk and now running talk
Good news, this is the first week I reached -- actually I exceeded the 30 mile mark (for the week), since mid-February. That was the week I ran Cowtown! Here's to starting off the year right. Maybe 30 miles can be the new norm. My body feels good. I don't feel like I'm over doing it. I ran 4 miles this morning and I took my time, since I ran 10 miles, yesterday. I think that's the key - just listening to your body. The next few weeks, I'd like to make 10 miles my standard long run distance, at least for a while - until I'm ready to bump it up. Hmmm, it sounds like a good plan, but will it stick?
Oh, I also managed to do some yoga. It feels good to stretch!
When I don't feel like running, I tell myself:
You can go as slow as you want, just run! What do you guys think about this quote? I like it!
These girls are also my motivation. I want to stay strong and healthy for them. I also want them to see that healthy living is an everyday thing, not a "oh, every blue moon I feel like working out," type of thing. Sure it's about fun, but as unsexy as it sounds, it's also about disciple.
Suck it up, buttercup!

Cotton Bowl: The Boys and The Girl
The boys will be at the Cotton Bowl, this evening. So tune in, I think the game will air on FOX. I will see if I can spot them while they are at Cowboys Stadium. Next year, they should wear neon pink, that way it'll be easier to see them.
Oh, yeah and Cheyenne will be there too.
The Cotton Bowl is becoming a Daddy, Daughter tradition, this will her third year to attend. She was very excited and she was bouncing off the pavement when she visited me at work. I asked her, did Daddy give you lots of sugar??? And she said, YES!!!! As she was jumping up and down.
This girl loves her Daddy. What a sweet moment.
Well, I enjoyed them swinging by to see me, during my break. It was a nice treat.
It looks like, it's going to be a girls night for me - I'll be hanging out with my niece and Dakota.

Coton Bowl 2012
Before Trey and Cheyenne went to Cowboys Stadium to see Kansas vs. Arkansas, they stopped by my workplace. Trey wanted me to fix Cheyenne's hair and Chey wanted to show me her new booster seat. It was a nice pick me up seeing them during my work break.
Before they left, Chey said, "Momma, you stay here!" She thought I was going with them and she wasn't having it. It was HER Daddy time and she didn't want a third wheel. Well, then!

They went early to the game to catch the Pep Rally.
This is the video of them last year at the LSU Pep Rally.
They had sooo much fun and Trey said Chey did great. By the time they made it home it was one o'clock in the morning. Trey said Chey fell asleep on the way home. Since she was in the truck, riding in the middle seat, she was snuggled up next to him <--------- that is the sweetest thing!!!!!!! Now, that's a great finish to a daddy daughter date. <3
I'm so glad Chey got a chance to spend time with her Daddy.

Riding on Flames
Tonight is the Cotton Bowl. Trey took the day off to spend time with Cheyenne. I totally forgot to leave the carseat with Trey. We only have one carseat for Chey, so Trey went to the store and bought her a new one, but not just any seat --- a booster! She picked out the seat with flames all by herself. I'm not going to ask how he got her to the store to buy it....I'm so happy we now have a back-up seat.
Tonight, I went out to dinner with Justin and Brittany. Tomorrow is Brittany's birthday, so I made her a scarf, similar to the one I made last week. I almost didn't gift it to her because (to me) it has a lot of imperfections, luckily the type of yarn I use is forgiving. :) The good thing about infinity scarfs is when you wrap it, the yarn blends and it looks pretty no matter what.
Trey and Cheyenne are still at the Cotton Bowl. They are staying up late, while I'm at home in bed about to fall asleep. What is everyone doing this weekend? I just watched a movie on Netflix called HappyThankYouMorePlease. It was alright. Now, it's time to rest and prepare for my run tomorrow.
This picture was taken about a week ago, I just keep forgetting to post it. Pregnant Belly. I have another doctors appointment in a few days and hopefully, next month we'll find out the sex of the baby.

Indigo Yoga!
While Trey and Cheyenne were at the Cotton Bowl, Friday night, I enjoyed a night of yoga.For months, I've been wanting to go to Indigo Yoga studio and I finally had a free night. (no kid. no husband). A night just for ME! I went to Kelsey's class called yoga and music and basically got my butt kicked. Whoa, it was sweaty and intense. I still feel fairly new to yoga, so I had to keep looking over my shoulder to see what was up. Kelsey was very helpful and came over to assist me several times. At one point she saw my bad form and announced, "We have a runner in the room!" ME! But honestly if it wasn't for P90X yoga, I would've been completely lost. Thanks, Tony Horton. If you are interested in Indigo Yoga, look them up. The instructors know what they are doing. I was impressed.
So to sum up my Friday night, it was perfection. It was a pizza, yoga, book reading kind of night.

Cotton Bowl 2011
Friday, Trey took Cheyenne to the Cotton Bowl game at Cowboys Stadium. This is something he wants to take her to every year. A Daddy daughter date, something for them to do together.
Cheyenne was eager to leave with him. She was waving goodbye to me as I snapped these photos. "Bye Momma! BYE!" And she kept waving.
Last year, Trey went with his Uncle and they both enjoyed it. Trey's uncle went again this year.
I made Cheyenne a lunch to go and she smuggled it into the stadium, that rebel. She loves her some fettucini alfredo.
