My Week in Photos

This girl can sleep through anything, even this -- Why don't you slide?
Front patio view. Tranquil. Peaceful.

This is me trying to get organized before returning to work. I cleaned the panty top to bottom. Monday, I'll work on the restrooms. I'm not looking forward to that.

When I finished a run, earlier in the week, I walked through this place. It's new construction, not too far from me. 5 bedrooms. 3 baths. How much you want to bet it's just a couple who will occupy this house??? You never know. There are only two people living in the mansion behind my house.
New Construction in the neighborhood. 5 rooms. 3 baths.
American Girl is really American China??? I'm so confused.
I will try to look pass that, only because the doll is so cute. I want an American Girl Doll too and I want her to look like me. That wouldn't be weird, an adult woman walking around with a doll. I don't think so. Soooooo....
American Girl is American China?? I'm so confused.

I recognize those teeth marks. Cheyenne is such a snacker. If I'd let her eat all day, she would.

Every time I think yoga is easy, I do it and I'm quickly reminded it's no joke. Lululemon offered a free yoga class this morning, so I dusted off my mat and hit it. It was a slow vinyasa flow, which for me translated to slow BURN. The instructor encouraged us to keep our eyes closed for the majority of the workout. Do you know how hard it is to keep your balance when you're in airplane??? I cheated  multiple times and opened my eyes, so I wouldn't fall on my face.

We got a new toy for the whole family to enjoy. I don't know what I think about the kindle fire. So, far it's been kind of quirky. Some of the apps just quit randomly and the Netflix app was starting and stopping movies, when it was in play mode. Maybe it was just the wi-fi connection, I don't know. It's still pretty new to me, so I'm going to play with it more, before I pass judgement. Also, how do I create folders? My apps are everywhere and not organized and it's driving me crazy!

How I Cut Onions and Crockpot Comfort

My morning started with a 10 mile run. I set my expectations low and figured I'd run close to an 11 minute pace per mile. I ended up running closer to a 10 minute pace, so that was a confident booster for this expecting mommy. I know it's early, but I'm telling you at 14 weeks -- I'm already feeling the baby move. During my run, I felt it and again a few hours later.

After my run, I didn't bother taking a shower because I went straight to yoga class at Lululemon. Cheyenne joined me. About 10 minutes into the class, Cheyenne approached me and I noticed her pants were missing. She was walking around the store pant less. She's going through a phase right now, where she wants to take her pants off, it's usually when she's at home. This is the first time she's done it in public. Everyone in class got a kick out of it. I have to admit it was more cute than embarrassing.
Sweet Pea
I've had this crockpot chili recipe for weeks and I finally made it. It could be paleofied, but I decided to add kidney beans. Here are the ingredients: Beef, garlic, cumin, chili powder, kidney beans, onions, green peppers, tomato sauce, and salt/pepper. I left it in the crockpot for 5 hours.
Crockpot Chili
I can't stand how painful it is, on my eyes, when I chop onions. I started to cut the an onion for the chili and my eyes were burning, I stopped and searched Trey's gym bag and put on his googles. I'm so smart!
How I Cut Onions
A few weeks ago, our neighbor, (the cookie baker) gave Trey a bag full of chocolate chip cookies. I kid you not, the bag was gallon size, the big freezer size -- full of cookies. Trey ate a lot and the next day, I was meeting Krista for coffee and I took her a small bag full. When Trey got home there were only four cookies left and he flipped out. Ever since then, he's been talking about how I gave his cookies away and basically I'm a terrible person. He's been asking me to make it up to him by making him cookies, so today I finally did. I think I saved our marriage. :)
Goodies
Cheyenne enjoyed the cookies. Notice how she's not wearing a shirt...I'm telling you, she's going through a phase. First it was no pants, now she wants to lose the shirt too. What am I going to do with her?

Christmas-fied & Visiting a Gym

We've been busy this weekend, getting the house Christmas-fied.
Our Christmas Tree
While Chey was napping Trey and I got the Christmas decorations out of storage, moved Chey's craft table and set-up the tree.
Trey Helping Put Up the Christmas Tree
By the time Chey woke-up, we were ready to put the finishing touches on it. I cannot believe how helpful she was. She took care of the bottom portion and I took care of the middle and top sections.
Christmas Decorations
For a brief moment, I placed my new yoga mat under the Christmas tree and giggled with excitement. Tomorrow, there is a good chance of sleet and ice. It'll be a perfect day to stay in and practice yoga on the mat.

Send me your Christmas Card...I'm ready to hang it up. Send me you Christmas Card. I'm ready for it.
Hey, last night, Trey's parents came to town for a Christmas party and they spent the night at our house. Andy, our nephew also spent the night. The boys stayed up late playing video games.
Breakfast-Tea Time with Nana
Tonight, we watched the Cowboys game. What the What Cowboys! Ugh! I want a winning team like Green Bay. I'm getting tired of these 4th quarter - nail biters.
Making Dinner & Watching the Cowboys Game
Desperate Times, Call For Desperate Measures
My last run, was on Thursday. I told Trey, if I don't run today--things are gonna get ugly. The weather today was freezing and wet, so running outside was not an option. I drove to the gym and checked-in as a guest. I have a few more free passes before I have to make a decision to join.

At the gym, I ran 9 miles on the treadmill. OH MY GOSH! The first machine I ran on was messed up! It stopped 4 times. The TM message read: No user detected. At first I thought it was something I was doing, but after 4 miles of stop and go, I asked a staff member and she suggested I use a different machine. I switched to a different TM,  I did the exact same thing and there were no surprise stops. I watched about 30 minutes of Clueless and then watched the Cowboys game. I also rode 4 miles on a stationary bike. This was my POV on the bike. The treadmills have personal TVs, but the bikes don't.

The Gift of Yoga

This morning, Chey and I went to Lululemon's Christmas Party/ Gift of Yoga Class. Chey loves going with me to that store and she is usually well behaved (I hope I didn't jinx myself) -- except one time she had a melt down when it was time to go.

I like how the store is kid friendly. They have a big box of toys and some of the other parents also brought their children, so the kids were entertained.

I was talking with the store manager afterwards and was explaining how the majority of my Christmas List is primarily Lulu. She noticed I had two old yoga mats with me. Here is the one I used today.

I've had them (the other one is not pictured) for at least five years. I got them at Wal-Mart and the latex is starting to peel on both of them. They are in bad shape. I've been wanting a Lululemon mat AND guess what was gifted to me, today?!! Thank you Lululemon! I love my new YOGA MAT!!!!!!! Merry Christmas to me.

This is called THE MAT and I hear it's great for hot yoga.
My first Lululemon Mat a Gift from Lululemon!
Look at the toys next to me. I placed the toys there, so I could keep an eye on Chey while she was playing. She chose to spend the majority of her time, in the back, playing with the other kids.
Lululemon The Gift of Yoga Christmas Party
Every so often she would run up to me and hug me and tell me something. It was so cute.

If I would've thought about it then, I would've dressed Chey in her tutu when we went to Barre Class a few weeks ago. This is a tutu Serena made for Chey. This girl loves it.
I'm so thankful for a new yoga mat and a great yoga class and also for spending time with Cheyenne. We had a great morning. Namaste!

No Take Backs & My Indigo Experience

This just in:
The Lululemon Cruiser BackPack doubles as a camera bag! The compartment meant for a yoga mat holds my tripod perfectly. I may never give Trey his bag again. Sorry, sweetie...no take backs. IT'S MINE!
Lulu BackPack

Since I'm on the topic of yoga bags -- yoga -- yoga
Let me tell you about Indigo Yoga. I went to a community class, featuring instructor Mateo M. This was my second Indigo experience. HOLY HOTNESS! They keep it at 92-98(?) degrees in there. Indigo offers Baptiste Power Vinyasa, so I guess all baptiste class are like that. IDK, but I'm guessing that's the case. With it being crazy hot, I was slipping and sliding all over my mat. Kelsey was a sweetheart and saw me drowning in my sweat and got me a towel. I'm sure there is some proper yoga name other than towel, but that's basically what it was. It helped. I loved the class. It was packed, wall to wall with yogis. I'm in this picture, back row-middle blue top. I'm was in child's pose with the rest of the yoga army.

I already want to go back and do more yoga. Thanks Indigo for offering this community class.

Indigo Yoga!

....and I'm taking you out! While Trey and Cheyenne were at the Cotton Bowl, Friday night, I enjoyed a night of yoga.

For months, I've been wanting to go to Indigo Yoga studio and I finally had a free night. (no kid. no husband). A night just for ME! I went to Kelsey's class called yoga and music and basically got my butt kicked. Whoa, it was sweaty and intense. I still feel fairly new to yoga, so I had to keep looking over my shoulder to see what was up. Kelsey was very helpful and came over to assist me several times. At one point she saw my bad form and announced, "We have a runner in the room!" ME! But honestly if it wasn't for P90X yoga, I would've been completely lost. Thanks, Tony Horton. If you are interested in Indigo Yoga, look them up. The instructors know what they are doing. I was impressed.

So to sum up my Friday night, it was perfection. It was a pizza, yoga, book reading kind of night.

Try Something New Everyday

This morning, I went to my first EVER yoga class at the Lululemon Showroom!

Yesterday, Lululemon had their grand opening and since Trey worked late (he didn't get home until 10 pm), Cheyenne and I went to the grand opening party. We had sushi and Chey LOVED the green juice.

By the way, every Saturday they offer a free yoga class to the community, so if you're interested let me know!

Laughter Yoga

Since the weather is dreary for outside exercise, I've started doing yoga again. Wednesday morning I had a good work-out and focused the routine on my core (abs).

So, today, Trey and I met-up for lunch. I normally don't drink much soda, but this time I had a tall glass. What was I thinking? Between all the soda I drank and Trey cracking jokes, I was in so much pain from laughing. The only pain I can compare it to is when someone is tickling you. You know...you'll laugh and smile, but really all that tickling hurts. That's what it felt like.

Since I'm on the subject of yoga and laughing, I might mention that I read this article about a free "laughter yoga" class and I'm seriously thinking about attending. Last week I was going to go, but Trey's parents were in town. We watched the Cowboys game too. Yeah, a game I could've gone without seeing, but that is neither here nor there, so let's never mention that game again. Deal.

At least the rest of the weekend was good. Trey's mom and I went to my favorite grocery store, Central Market to eat. I also took her all over our side of Ft. Worth to window shop. Good times-minus the game, Ohhhhh I menioned it!

Feng Shui...Anyone?

Linda came over this morning to do yoga. As we were working-out I noticed the arrangement of my furniture and that got me thinking of Feng Shui.

I'm not really into the whole Feng Shui movement, but I do believe the arrangement of furniture can affect someone’s mood. Trey and I have noticed the den sometimes changes our moods. First of all the lighting is horrible. Also the lack of furniture makes it cold and uninviting. Any Feng Shui consultant would condemn our den. Yes, our den needs a serious face-lift, but I can deal with it.

Yogis of the World Unite

Linda and I have ventured to conquer our yoga quest. She came over this morning, at the crack of dawn, with two yoga mats in hand. So, I guess yoga is my latest obsession of the month. I'm getting better everyday with my flexibility.

Besides all that, I've been pretty busy. This week has been bizarre and uncomfortable, but this weekend I'm looking forward to spending more time at home.

Who Said Yoga Was Easy?

I've always thought anyone could do yoga. I thought it was a type of aerobic anyone could do regardless of their athletic state. This week I've been practicing it and have managed to tangle myself with myself.

These positions are ridiculous!
