Queen Wilhelmina State Park

Here are some pictures from our Spring Break Vacation. This was our second leg of the trip, when we camped at Queen Wilhelmina, located in Arkansas on Rich Mountain.

Lodges at State Parks are a common thing in Arkansas. Pretty cool! We spent a few hours playing games inside.

Meet Rose

The girls have been asking for a puppy and Trey gave into their wishes and got them a Maltese puppy. I didn't want a dog, but then I saw Rose and my heart melted.

A Hike with the Girls on MLK Day

On MLK day, the girls and I spent the entire day together. Chey wrote down our plans. Her two main requests:
1. Go out to eat for lunch
2. Do something outside

First Stop:
Pizza Snob near Texas Christian University.
I ordered the street taco pizza and the girls ordered cheese pizza. Dakota LOVED IT! She ate four slices!

Second Stop:

The Snow Storm

A few days after Christmas….
While we were camping in Abilene a winter storm swept through. We got a lot of ice and the next day there was snow.

We decided to extend our stay and stay an additional 2 days.

When I wasn't visiting with family, I spent a lot of time here.

Christmas at Home and Then Christmas in the Airstream

CHRISTMAS EVE
Like we normally do, we made cookies for Santa. He likes chocolate chip cookies.
Christmas Baking 2015
After making cookies, we went to a Christmas play at a local church. Our neighbors were participating in it and we wanted to support them. Immediately following that, I went to our home church for the Christmas Eve service. We look forward to that every single year! Like I mentioned in the previous post, we looked at Christmas lights and got home kind of late. The girls went to bed around 10 pm and to my knowledge they slept the entire night.

CHRISTMAS MORNING
I woke up before them. It was around 7:30 am when they woke up.

After we opened Christmas gifts and cleaned up a little, we drove to Abilene. We took the airstream with us and parked it next to Trey's parents RV-homesite. They live in a small town outside of Abilene.

These 2 pictures below were taken the day after we arrived.

While I was in Abilene, I made tamales with my mom and younger sister, Natasha. This was my first time to make them. Mom says I'm a natural. :)
