Halloween 2015

Last year, I filmed a wedding on Halloween, but this year, I didn't have to work. Trey and I took the girls to trunk or treat and then walked our neighborhood. The girls got sooooo much candy!

We found these My Little Pony costumes at Sam's Club. These days they are really into MLP. Occasionally, I'll sit down and watch an episode with them. It's pretty good.

More Sweets Than We Should Have at One Time

Hi! I don't know about you, but our house has a plethora of candy. The girls went trick or treating for 2 hours and managed to fill 3 buckets. It's because they are so adorable. I know.


While Trey took the girls out on Halloween, I was filming a wedding near Weatherford.

I brought the girls home some party favors. Cavities, anyone???

It's Almost Halloween & A New 70-200mm Lens

Tonight, was wear your Halloween costume to church. Chey is Anna from Frozen. Dakota is going as Elsa, but she didn't go to church -- tonight, so that's why she did not dress up. 

I got a new 70-200mm lens, so I grabbed a few photos of the girls. I think I'm really going to have fun, taking portraits and doing video work with this. I've only taken a few pictures, but I'm already impressed. It's so wonderful that I have beautiful models to take pictures of....I love my girls. 

My First Guitar was a Flying-V, an Outrageous Costume and a Princess at Work

People recognize Columbus Day? Cheyenne had the day off from school, so we just rocked out all day, you know…
The first electric guitar I had was also a Flying-V. I use to play Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit. Bush - Machine Head and Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm. I wasn't amazing, but I wasn't awful.

Last night, was the Ladies Night Halloween Party. Guess who won best costume?

This past weekend I was consumed with editing, Dakota would check-up on me every now and then. It's like every time she'd visit with me, she was either wearing a new outfit or streaking (no diaper)…she has decided to give potty-training another go…She's doing ok.
Oh, I'm still loving my new office and computer. It really is a great space to work.

More Treats (Halloween 2013)

Does anyone else have a Halloween Candy hangover? Cheyenne woke up a mess and then asked to have candy for breakfast. As adults, we can have candy whenever we want....see Trey was eating candy while we were going house to house, last night. Why? Becasue he's an adult and he can. Ha! This is both a good and bad thing. Sometimes I wish I had someone around me to say, step away from the chocolate. This year was better than last year. Last year, I had a stomach ache. This year, I was fine.  So, there's that.

Our friend Allen, (the guy with the swimming pool) - he went all out with this zombie zip line.

The zip line ran from one house to another house. The older kids loved it! Cheyenne was too distracted to really notice.

Since Dakota is not walking yet, Chey made sure she was not left behind. When she went door to door she took her bucket with her. Treats for her and Treats for Dakota.

Towards the end of the night, people were shoving handfuls of candy in the kids buckets.

Halloween 2013

Trick or Treat, give us something good to eat! I had a pep talk with Chey... "Mama, likes Hershey bars."

 We invited Amanda and her family to join us.
My family also joined us. Bella, Angelica, and not pictured Tasha.

Trey lost a bet. He bet Amanda that Texas would win the Ole Miss football game. Well, Texas lost, so Amanda made him wear an Ole Miss jersey. What she didn't know is that Trey would make it his Halloween costume.
Meet the hill-billy Ole Miss Fan.           He eventually lost the goofy teeth.
 
Is it just me or does Trey have a habit of doing this? Halloween 2009.
This year, I decided to dress up as a lady bug. I borrowed it from Chey.

You guys, it got cold! We were not prepared. We didn't have a blanket, but this costume prop, kept Dakota warm.

TBT Open House & Trunk or Treat

We've gotten the biggest bang out of Halloween costumes this year. The girls have worn them, often! Chey even wore hers to a princess birthday party.
Saturday afternoon, Dakota was feeling better, so I took a chance and took her to Texas Ballet Theater's Open House. She was fine. I guess the candy helped.
 
The festival was inside and after the girls hit all the booths, there was a studio performance. The advanced students and trainees performed several repertoires. The advanced students are quite impressive to watch and make it look easy. I know it's not easy, but they make it look effortless. The girls all sat like good girls and watched the 30 minute performance, I was really proud of them.

Today, Mrs. Amanda invited us to join her and her family to go trunk or treating at Luke's school. This was the first time I had ever been to one. It was fun and not too crowded, but lots of treats for the kiddos.

Dakota's face was a little sour because she wanted me to hold her. The princes wants what she wants. Such a diva.

The Last Bit

Halloween 2012

Our Halloween looked a little something like this...

I had the privilege of taking two princesses trick or treating. I had baby Cinderella and big girl Cinderella.

In our neighborhood, some people hand out full size candy bars. This year, one family handed out hot dogs and drinks. How do you feel about that? I'll take fresh prepared food from my neighbors. I mean, I kind of know them....

I feel like the secret is out about how great our neighborhood is because this year, there was more foot traffic. Lots of preteens, but our friends recognized Cheyenne and made sure she got plenty of goodies.


My neice, Angelica also joined us.
She got a bucket and a bag full of sweets.

Dakota stayed warm in her blanket, while we went door to door.

One-on-One with Dakota

Yesterday, I went to abilene for a short day trip. One reason, I went was to see my Mom, tomorrow is her birthday and I wanted to wish her an early birthday.

Trey and I took seperate vehicles, so he could stay longer and I could leave early. Trey kept Cheyenne and I took Dakota. I've been loving all the one-on-one I'm getting with her. We went to church this morning. I took her to Sunday school and the sanctuary with me. She's so portable, I love it!

You know, she's loving all the attention.
Cheyenne has been enjoying herself too. Trey and his mom went clothes shopping for her. Oh and DJ and her went trick or treating at a church event.
 

Awanas Family Pumpkin Night

Cheyenne is participating in Awanas, Cubbies. This is her first year and she loves it! She goes once a week. She sings songs, does crafts, and learns bible versus. I love watching her grow spiritually. Hearing her sing praises to Jesus in her squeaky voice, is precious.

Last night, was family pumpkin night. We had so much fun!
 

Trick or Treat 2011

Trick or Treat!

We spent our evening at a community fall festival. We ended our night walking half a mile around our block. We made a killin', on candy. If you want to get "the good candy" you need to come this way. These people don't play. The couple, who live two houses down, were giving out full size candy bars. Full Size Candy Bars! We also found out the people who are building behind us are building a one story mini mansion -- oh, yeah and a pool. Cheyenne did a good job of sharing her bit of news too...She told every other person, "I'm going to be a sister!"

Trey insisted on wearing his bubba teeth. Trey, you're embarrassing me. Haha! But really, those teeth are not flattering.

Food. Who Needs It?

The sight, the thought of food disgusts me----in case you were wondering this is pregnant Dom talking. Not ultra runner, burns 3,000 calories a week -- I need food --- Dom. Speaking of which, this was my running/workout stats from last week. Pathetic.


The only thing that sounds and taste half-way decent is Panda Express. Thank goodness for one being on campus and close to home. Can you believe this side of rice only cost $2.43. Yeah! I wish healthy food was that affordable. Speaking of healthy food/Hmmm-Ummm Paleo....It's been so hard these last two weeks to stomach salads. This makes me sad. Really sad.

In other news. Here are a few cute pictures of my niece, Bella.

She's so sweet and if I had more of an appetite, I'd eat her up!
