Awanas Family Pumpkin Night

Cheyenne is participating in Awanas, Cubbies. This is her first year and she loves it! She goes once a week. She sings songs, does crafts, and learns bible versus. I love watching her grow spiritually. Hearing her sing praises to Jesus in her squeaky voice, is precious.

Last night, was family pumpkin night. We had so much fun!

Slide Time!

If there is a slide, within a 5 mile radius, Cheyenne will find it.

Playtime at the Park

If I would let Cheyenne sit in front of the TV all day, she probably would. And if she had a choice, she would watch Dora the Explorer from sun up, until sun down. Yesterday, I took her to the park to get her outside and moving. She loved watching the ducks. In fact, she loved them so much she tried walking into the pond on more than one occasion.

It was a beautiful day to be outside.

We decided this was the cool duck. Afro-Puff Duckie!

Sweet face.

One of her favorite things at the park, the slide.

And if you're going to do it, you might as well go head first. Wee!

Halloween Night! (2010)

I don't know about you, but I love how Halloween fell on a Sunday this year. It was like an entire weekend celebration. Friday: we went to the fall festival, Saturday: we meet up with friends to celebrate Chad's birthday, and then Sunday: we took Cheyenne trick or treating.

Here are some photos we snapped Sunday evening. Snow White and her prince. :)
Halloween 2010
Do you know how hard it was to get this photo? She did not want to take a photo with me :(
Trey finally convinced her and she forced a smile.

Look, the car from CARS!

We enjoyed walking our neighborhood. I'm telling you, our neighbors were unloading the candy! I guess, they didn't have as many trick or treaters as they anticipated.

Last night, Trey went through all of Chey's candy and organized it by category: yours, mine, give away, and everything else piles.
Please tell me, Trey didn't spend the time to sort through Chey's Halloween candy.

Fall Festival

Yesterday, Cheyenne and I dressed up for Halloween and went to a fall festival. Cheyenne went as Snow White and I decided to dress up as a princess. I wore a dress that I wore to winter formal sophomore year of high school. The dress is beautiful. Honestly, I just wanted an excuse to wear it. :)

There were so many people at the festival. Crowds of people! Our church had a booth out there and Trey and I volunteered to work it for about 30 minutes. By the end of the night we were exhausted and I barely had enough energy to put Cheyenne down for the night, so Trey took over. Thanks, sweetie!

I think Cheyenne enjoyed the lollipop too much! Or as she calls it, POP!

Pumpkin Eater

Mr. Pumpkin head is a mess and he appears to be eating himself. This might scare the trick-or-treaters. Is that mold growing in his mouth and eye?!?

Pumpkin Carving

Last night, we carved a pumpkin.
Pumpkin Carving
Chey had to do a taste test.
Pumpkin Carving
She wasn't sure about this vegetable.
Pumpkin Carving
Daddy had to show her the guts!
Pumpkin Carving
Yummy. Who wants to come over for dinner?
Pumpkin Carving
She probably thought I was going to feed her the guts.
Pumpkin Carving
What else is in there?
Pumpkin Carving
Daddy! Don't show me that!
Pumpkin Carving
Notice, Trey is smiling...
Pumpkin Carving
Gross!
Pumpkin Carving
She tried to stab it with the carving knife.
Pumpkin Carving
Take that!
Pumpkin Carving
All done! Oh my, look at Chey's expression.
Pumpkin Carving
That's a little better, pumpkin pie, but next time don't hit him in the face.
Pumpkin Carving
I'll leave you with this photo.

Cheyenne at 11 Months

For a while, I've been debating going to a pumpkin patch. The main reason is because I can't find any local pumpkin patches. I didn't feel like driving over thirty miles to buy an over-priced pumpkin, possibly pay admission to walk around, and take a few photos.

I asked Heather, one of our neighbors, if I could prop Cheyenne in front of her outdoor fall decorations and take pictures. Heather didn't mind and she even helped me get Cheyenne's attention.

And you know, it really looks like she's at a pumpkin patch! This picture is my favorite because you can see her two bottom teeth.

First Day of Fall. First Cold Front.

Yesterday, a storm rolled through and today we have a nice cold front.

I couldn't believe these clouds and I had to take a picture with my cell phone.
