One Step Closer to Getting My Treadmill Repaired

Work is so busy. Lately, when I'm at home, all I can think about is work. I've got to finish that video project or I can't forget about this meeting. I think it will ease up after Spring Break, which is mid-March. That's only a few weeks away. I can deal until then? Yes, that was a question. I'm sure you all have way more stressful jobs than me (cough, Trey), I'm just not use to all the busy work at once, it's usually spread out -- so this is a big wave of work that I'm dealing with, right now. Bear with me.

Free of Freelance
Good news, I finally finished that freelance project. I started it back in December and it's finally done! It was the easiest project I've ever been hired to do, yet it was so tedious. This is what the project entailed. Scan pages from multiple photo albums and crop approximately 1,500 images. Music and How I Met Your Mother episodes kept me sane. I can't complain because I made a nice chunk of change, which will fund my TREADMILL Repair!!!!!!!!! The rest of my pennies will go into savings. How exciting, I know!
Freelance Project
Speaking of work, today, I had a client who booked me for May 2013. Wow, their on top of their schedule. I don't know what I'm doing next week, but in May 2013, I'll be taking some photos and making a video.

But you know what I would love to do more than anything? Videotape a Spring or EARLY summer wedding. I love weddings, somebody get married already. Okay, that's enough about work stuff. Hey, wait a minute, I will be taping a wedding - My Mom and Frank. Duh. In case you didn't know, my Mom and Frank will be getting married in a few months. I still want more people to get married and hire me. Ha! You guys work on that for me.

I'll leave you with these photos of Cheyenne...
Somebody is going to be giving up her bed/crib to Dakota.
Surrounded by Toys
Friends and Family, Dakota will have plenty of toys to play with. Cheyenne doesn't mind sharing. Cheyenne's latest thing, is calling Dakota HER BABY. Okay, then. Maybe she can explain that one to me because I'm not really sure how that happened.

Half Marathon Taper
This past weekend, it rained, so I skipped my scheduled Saturday long run and when I had an opportunity to run long on Sunday, I wasn't feeling it, so I just ran 4 miles. Yesterday, I went to the gym and ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I passed the time by switching between Good Morning Texas, E! Fashion Police, and Grilling with Bobby Flay. News, Fashion and Food.

I think this is the time I should be tapering, but I don't know how that will look -- since I'm not really following a specific training schedule, so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing OR I'll run less. We'll see, either way, I'm really looking forward to running 13.1 miles on Sunday.

Here is my DailyMile training from last week.

Cheyenne's Photo Shoot at Home

Cheyenne had so much fun, acting like a supermodel. She insisted on wearing her dark pink dress. Her hair is naturally curly, but the morning, I took her photos, I straightened her hair.

If you like my work, keep in mind, I can do this for you too. Let's talk -- photography!

Favorite Cartoon: Care Bears
Favorite Past-Time: Coloring
Food: She is constantly asking me for meat aka hard salami.

She has recently started running and hear me I say, she can run fast.

When I take her grocery shopping, she likes to wrap her arms around one of my legs when I walk, you'd think this would trip me, or slow me down, but she knows how to do it right -- without getting in my way. It's really sweet.

Her best friend is Brianna or as she likes to call her, Bia-Boo.
Portrait of Cheyenne
Cheyenne likes dancing and acting silly.

She'll tell you she's a princess and she's not even playing.

She likes to dance and she'll say, look at me -- look at me!

She recently started taking ballet classes.

The first time she showed Trey what she learned in ballet class, she twirled and hit her head on a cabinet.

She is all girl. Dressing-up, tea-parties, dolls, "make-up," and nail polish. I predict we're going to have some fun shopping trips in our future.

Cheyenne is a blessing. Trey and I love her so much. Sometimes when we're talking we'll say things, like --  Gosh, I just love that girl!

Personal Photography Work

I've been so busy taking photos for everyone else, I haven't made my favorite photo subject, Cheyenne, a priority. Yesterday, I set-up a little photo studio in the living room and took a handful of pictures of her. I'll post those pictures, soon.

Trey took this one of Cheyenne and I.

Valentine's Dinner Party

Valentine's Dinner Party

Last night, Trey and I went to a dinner party. It was nice having adult time and getting to know some of the couples in our Sunday Morning Church Class. Brisket was provided by our hosts and everyone else took sides and desserts, to share.

Our wonderful hosts, Karon and Gene. Thank you for a fun, group date night!

My FriDay in Photos

MORNING:
Trey got a service call at 2:40 am. He didn't have to leave the house, but he was on the phone, it woke me up. I tried going back to bed, but I couldn't. I stayed in bed until my run alarm went off. I couldn't stand another run in my Nike's, so I swapped them out and now I'm running in my Brook's. Run
WORK:
At work, I had a PR photo event to document. This is my DSLR camera gear that I used. I was also responsible for capturing video. My Camcorder bag, not pictured.
 My Bag
LUNCH:
When I make a batch of veggies, I can't eat enough. My main lunch course was a bowl of veggies with a few slices of hard salami.

Do you have any big plans for this weekend?
- I'll be running my last long run of the Cowtown Half Marathon Training. I'm not sure if I'll run 8 or 10 miles. My training schedule says 8 miles, so we'll see...
- Trey and I have a dinner party to attend this weekend
- I think that's it...The rest of the time, I will try to relax.

Saying Goodbye is Hard

Yesterday evening, I hosted a farewell party for my boss, Dee Dee, at J. Gilligan's. We partied in the restaurant/karaoke area.

Dee Dee served UTA for 12 years and she's been my amazing boss for almost 5 years.

I've known about her resignation for several weeks, now. The first week, she told me the news -- was the hardest. I cried everyday for the first 4 days and the rest of the week, I walked around in shock. Now, that I've had time to process, I've come to terms with it. I mean I can't make her stay, so I should be happy for her. I AM happy for her. She has a great opportunity awaiting her.

She will go back to full-time stage work with IATSE Local 126.
D2, help a sister out and get me a camera-op gig for a big time concert!
She got me my first stage job, working the Maroon 5 concert. That was a great experience.

Everyone loves D2. I made her a memory book and a 30 minute video with pictures and video messages from colleagues. We also sent her off with $1,000 dollars cash. Home girl, banked it! One of the co-hosts, Felicia, asking to borrow money..."So, drinks and food are on you, right?"

Friends, Co-workers, and previous co-workers attended to say goodbye. It was a come and go party. I stayed for 3 and a half hours and when I left, the party was still going strong.

Even Trey and Cheyenne joined us. Hey, where did Dakota go? I should've turned sideways, so you could see Dakota too.

Don't feel sorry for her, she had plenty.

I need to get in the habit of requesting nachos with half the cheese. Goodness, gracious this is ridiculous...ridiculously good! Ha!

What an amazing party, but work goes on....
