Today, it feels more like winter...but Saturday it was so nice outside!
Weekends usually mean edit time. Saturday was no exception. I spent about 6 hours in front of a computer. I broke the time in two chunks…3 hours of edit time in the morning and then 3 hours after the girls were in bed. During my long afternoon break, the girls and I went to the track. I ran 2 miles and they played.

Morning Track, Five Year Old Fashion & Date Night Appreciation
The girls joined me for my 4 mile track run. For the most part, they sat and played in the sand. We took a play bag with shovels. Chey was entertained the entire time. Dakota lost interest, after about 15 minutes. She preferred the stroller. Pushing her around was an extra workout!

We went to the track first thing in the morning. I know Dakota, it was bright. Afterwards, we spent the afternoon with Trey. Movies (actually Dakota and I window shopped with Trey and Chey went), lunch, and then family time at home.

Sometimes Chey likes to dress herself. I pick and choose my battles. She looked super cute in her mis-matched outfit, so I didn't make her change.
For the past few months, the church we attend has been offering a Parents Night Out. Once a month for several hours they watch our kids for 10 bucks. We appreciate that so much! Earlier, when I was getting ready for the date and I found a bunny in my bathroom.

Since When is this a Long Run? & Brownies!
It was a good first week of training for the Dallas (Half) Marathon. Now, only 11 more weeks, something like that....

Saturday Long Run
Distance: 5.11 miles
Average Pace Per Mile: 10:09
Duration: 52 minutes
Weather: 66 degrees, but I was still sweating like crazy
I felt okay about this run. I took three rest breaks for 30 seconds. I caught my breath for a moment and chugged water. I drank about 8 oz of water.
I was done in less than an hour and this was considered my long run for the week. Yeah, I'm really liking this half marathon schedule. I know, that as the weeks progress, the miles and time, will be more demanding, but still this is not what I'm use to for a training schedule. I might have to reconsider more half marathon races. Now, I feel like I'm cheating on my ultra marathons. I'm sorry, I take it back (maybe).

Other than running and Jubilee of Tables, I also got a chance to spend quality time with my girls!

One last thing, this post deserves is chocolate and while I'm thinking about it, I deserve chocolate!....Paleo Brownies!
I tried this recipe and it is a keeper! Oh, and it's made in a slow-cooker, hellz to the yeah. Here's the simple recipe.
