Trey Has a Hobby

He bought himself a gun (another one) and I said, "Happy Father's Day!"

Actually, this is why we don't take vacations...
I'm invested in investing in my small business. I purchased a microphone and it wasn't cheap. Why is this line of work so expensive??? One day I will pay myself more than $30 bucks (I promise, myself that). Until then, I'll be on the apple website debating whether or not it's time for a laptop or Mac Pro.
New mic got here in time for a weekend weeding #smallbiz

My Week in Photos

Dakota Bear got a little sunburnt. I felt terrible that I allowed this to happen, but she acted normal and un-phased.

I feel like Trey woke up one morning and decided to be a gun enthusiast. A year ago, he may have liked guns and been interested in them, but now he's all about firearms. So, ---- I found Trey a new gun.

Air Gun

My niece, Angelica got herself a little air gun. She's been busy shooting targets like milk boxes and handmade paper targets, since I backyard has nothing except a small garden.

While Angelica was shooting her pellet gun, I gave Chey a water gun and she made her own targets and went to town shooting them.
P.S. We got Cheyenne some new shoes. Now, she's ready to train for her first 5K! :)

A Gift For Trey (A Handgun)

Nothing says, I love you like gifting your lover a 40 caliber.
Springfield XDM.
40 Caliber
This is what I got Trey for Valentine's and by that I mean, he obsessed about owning a gun (for a LONG TIME), he was constantly researching handguns, he talked about it all the time and the other day he went to the gun store and while he was there, he told me he was going to get a gun and I gave him my blessing. "Ok, happy Valentine's Day!"
It has several safety features and also a lock of some kind that you stick down the barrel. He is also looking at a special safety case for extra-extra-extra protection.

Here's a video of Trey's shooting the gun for the first time. He went with some friends out to the country and shot guns on their private property. When I saw the video, I was like -- OH WOW, take me there so I can go running. Haha! Oh, and nice gun.
Ta-ta-ta-day....BOOM!!!!

Guns N Stuff

This morning I watched William, my neighbor's son.

His momma had to work and his daddy was shooting guns with Trey at the gun range. The picture below is of Trey's co-worker, Chris. I'm glad Trey had some male bonding time. Guns 'n stuff. Now, it's my turn. I see a Ladies Night in my future. That would be nice. Who wants in?

New Hair Color to Get Back to Basics

Yesterday, Erin worked her hair magic and dyed my hair. I told her I wanted to get back to my natural hair color. This is the current state of my hair (see picture below). It's dark, right? Holy, VAMPIRE! I was a little shocked, but Erin said it will tone down and balance off in a few weeks. I trust her, so it's no big deal. The dark color is actually growing on me. At first I would walk past the mirror and do a double take -- WHAT THE GOTH???!, but now I think it's cool and winter approriate. I'll continue to update you on the color transition.
Dark Hair Color
The last time I dyed my hair it looked like this (see BA pic of me holding the gun) -- I loved it. I just don't want to have to deal with my roots showing every few months and the up keep, especially if I highlighted it now, then about the time Dakota is born, I'd have to do it again. Sooooo, back to basics I go. Back to my natural hair color, it is.
Shooting Guns with the Family
I think after Dakota is born, I would like to treat myself to a new hair look, which may or may not include color. Trey really, likes my natural hair color and he kind of hates the fact that I've been dying it. He's really pleased that I'm going back to overall brown.

This is my natural hair color.

Straight-Up Gangsta

So, apparently my family is packing these days. They are concealed hand gun license -- crazies, not to be confused with the mexican mafia.

Nothing says family-time like going to the shooting range and busting some caps.
Family Memories!!
Shooting Guns with the Family
Up until, Labor Day Weekend, I never shot a gun. I gave it a try and LOVED it. It felt empowering. I know Trey loved it too. He's been talking about getting his concealed hand gun license for over a year now. He really wants a gun and talks about it at least once a week, but I have mixed feelings about it. However, if someone else has a gun, I wanna play --  I'm just not crazy about owning one.

Okay, I'll admit it -- shooting guns felt great, but someone please tell Trey he can't have one.

I know what he's thinking and this answer is NO, Trey you can't have one.   :P
