My Week in Photos

To me, this was a big deal. Earlier this week, I went to the bank and opened my Video and Photography business account. The girls went with me. All they want to know is how soon can mom put us on the payroll? Please refer to me as CEO, from this point forward. :)

I re-stocked my coffee. Dark Magic, folgers - vanilla biscotti, vanilla carmel and a few more packs, that I can't remember. I'm busy working on building-up, my Keurig Points. I think I'm 38 years away from reaching my goal of having enough points to get a Keurig machine for the office.

Lately, we've been working on letter recognition. You know what impresses me? When people can recite ABC's backwards. Can you do that? 2013 Goal????

This is how Dakota feels when I tell her she has to eat real people food (pic on left) and then when she gets what she wants (pic on right)...Haha, kidding. Smiley Dakota was with Mrs. Amanda at the park. However, she does hate food.
 
I took this photo to prove to Trey that I offer her table food. She sucked on that orange for a whole 2 minutes and then chunked it on the floor. "What the hell, mom? What the hell?"

Dakota made a friend, this is Molly and apparently Dakota feels threaten the dog will steal her wipes.  I want to say their dog is like 8 years old or something, which in doggie years is ancient.

Everyone have a fantastic weekend. Hopefully, I will get out of this running funk and have a decent long run. This Sunday, I will actually make it to church! Gotta get that run in, early!

A Bar at the Dentist

Have you heard of those trendy dentists offices like FLOSS? They serve patients alcoholic beverages, while they wait in the lobby. I guess, it makes people less cranky and puts high-anxiety people at ease. Well, my (new to me) dentist is not as trendy as FLOSS, but check out the complimentary coffee bar. I wanted to drink a cup or two, but I spent so much time beforehand, flossing, scrubbing my teeth, and scrubbing my tongue -- I didn't want to ruin it. Plus, coffee breathe -- ewww! Maybe next time, on the way out, I'll make a cup.

Last year, I had some dental work done. I was in and out of the dentist office there for a while. The office I went to before, was terrible (particularly customer service), but they did good work, so I just stuck it out. Now, that I'm done with my root canal procedures, I decided to look for a dentist really close to home. I love the staff and dentist in this new to me office. A+ on customer service and cleaning! Local friends, if you need a referral let me know, he's awesome and his dental assistant is a sweetheart! I felt very comfortable, well as comfortable as one can feel in a dentist chair.

While I was getting my grill worked on, the girls had a play date.

Did someone say yoga?

After my appointment, I rushed to get the girls and we barely made it to ballet on time. Thank goodness, they let the little girls use the company dressing room. By the way, Cheyenne is enjoying her class. All the girls in her class seem to know each other, so Cheyenne is kind of the new girl. This week, she told me, "I'm not shy anymore!" I guess she had a breakthrough and then she was eager to show me her new stretching techniques. Once we were done there, I didn't feel like cooking, so we went to Panda Express and got our favorite thing on the menu, fried rice!

I'm glad I know someone who will eat Chinese food with me. Trey hates it. Dakota just watched us eat, that's the way she prefers it, since she still hates people food.

My Week in Photos

This morning I was greeted with a wonderful cold front. It was cool, but not cold. However, it took everything in me, to not break out my boots, hats, scarves, and jackets. It would've been great to go running with the cooler temps, but I was still feeling cruddy, as of this morning. At the moment, I feel much better.

Early this week, we enjoyed some snuggle, girly time on the sofa.

My Week in Photos

Dakota didn't get the memo, that today is her due date. She's slow cooking and apparently she's in no rush to come out. Dang, my womb must be like a hot spot condo or something. Maybe, it's better than beachfront property.

Well, I'm so glad I didn't invest my hopes in what my doctor predicted, "I think you will deliver as early as 10 days before your due date." Yeah, right.

Here is a text convo between Trey and I.  FYI: C 30 = a 30 second contraction.

Perhaps, I mentioned taking it easy and not exercising, this week. You could say I'm getting impatient, so I walked 2 miles last night, hoping to naturally induce Dakota out of my body. It wasn't all sweat and hard work --- to balance things out, afterwards, I immediately drove to the store and bought cookies.

While Trey and I have been working, Cheyenne has been vacationing in Abilene. I'm so jealous! I also miss her, a lot!


I finally got around to trying the Keurig herbal tea sample. I wouldn't recommend it, but for free, I'd drink it all day. By the way, if you have a Keurig Vue, bed bath and beyond has the mother load of Vue Cups.

A few weeks ago, I used a promo code and order cups directly from Keurig's site. I'm not impressed with the mocha, I prefer the vanilla latte.

Do you eat fish? I do, but it's not my first option. Earlier in the week, I put off grocery shopping until there was nothing left to eat except for fish. Now, that we're going into the weekend, I will put off grocery shopping again. Who knows when this baby will come and I don't want my produce to spoil.

What are your plans for the weekend?
Me, ohhhhh I plan on having a baby. If I'm not in labor, I think Trey and I may try to go out on a date tonight. That is, if he doesn't have to work late. The last two nights he has been working around the clock. All the overtime will be good, but he is beyond exhausted.

I Planned on Holding Her Hostage

You want to know what's sad? Erin and her family are moving away. Next week, they will leave Ft. Worth and start a new chapter of their lives, in West Texas. TEARS. TEARS. LOTS OF TEARS.

It's no secret, I don't want her to leave (me or Chey). I thought about kidnapping her and holding her hostage, but she said Mike would eventually come looking for her. I said no he won't, but I guess eventually he would start to wonder....So, I scratched that plan and yesterday, we went out to dinner and coffee instead. Ultimately, I took her home, but it was late -- so that should count for something.

We planned on eating at Love Shack in the West 7th District, but they are no longer open (at that location), so we went to Chuy's Mexican Restaurant and then to AVOCA Coffee Shop. The heartburn and caffeine was so worth it.

Pregnancy Update:
I'm 5 days from my due date and I'm showing signs of the beginning stages of labor (I will spare my male readers the details), but the contractions are still sporadic. It's a constant roller coaster. I get excited when I feel the contractions and then several hours will go by before I feel another set. The contractions have been painful, so it is weird that I'm getting excited about the pain. I'm sure when I'm in full blown labor I will be like, MAKE IT STOP!!!!
