They Don't Stay Little Forever
Do you guys keep growth charts for your little ones? This was Trey's idea and I've really enjoyed watching Cheyenne grow. Her chart is located inside her closet. Yeah, we write on the walls, but not where people will notice. :)

She knows what's up...

This girl always has a stuff animal. Usually, it's a baby or teddy bear, but recently she's been toting around bunny.

Here is a look back:

At what point did you stop counting months? Looks like we stopped at 14 months.

Nerdy Birds
All things Random...
Tasha and Trey playing nerdy birds - Nothing says geek than being in public and playing on your cellular phone, when you could be interacting with people. :P
He's been trying to get me to play that game, but I refuse. I hear so many people are addicted to it. Addicted, I tell you.

Saturday afternoon I made Tasha a bacon wrap.

I found a new park that I love...I mean, Cheyenne loves. It has less foot traffic than one we've been going to and it's super clean. The only downside is - there are no public bathrooms in sight. Head for the bushes if nature calls. I almost had to, but held it until I got home. (TMI)
While we were there, a little boy approached Cheyenne
Boy: Do you wanna play?
Chey: Ummmmm....Mama!
Boy: I like your sunglasses!
Me: Oh, thank you.
Boy: I wasn't talking about yours!
The icing on the cake was when his mom told him it was time to go home. He ran to Cheyenne and gave her a hug. She was all like....what the what? Awkward!
The boys are already chasing after her.

P90X. Week 3. Day 15 & Taco Soup
I've been doing most of these workouts alone. Trey has a hard time waking up at 4 am to workout with me (understandably). So, I'm considering doing the P90X workouts at night. I like the idea of having my nights free, but if it means Trey working out with me, it's worth rearranging my schedule. We'll see what happens...
3 Weeks in and I'm still on the same P90X routine:
Sunday- Rest
Monday - Chest and Back + Ab RipperX (Did that this morning)
Tuesday - Plyometrics or Running 4 -6 miles
Wednesday - Shoulders and Arms + Ab RipperX
Thursday - YogaX or Running 4 - 6 miles
Friday - Legs & Back + Ab RipperX
Saturday - Long Run (8 - 14 miles)
The toughest workout on the above schedule: Legs and Back. I feel like I'm still recovering from that one. My legs were on fire! My favorite workout on the above schedule: Shoulders and Back. The majority is lifting weights. I'm gonna get ripped...haha. Hopefully not too much. Here is some real progress -- I did 3 unassisted pull-ups.
Taco Soup
I've been craving this for months, it's something I've made on numerous occasions, but not lately. This is a crockpot recipe from Paula Dean. I modified the recipe (a lot). The biggest change I made was the portion size. I basically cut the portion size in half and only added half a pound of lean ground beef. I have plenty of leftovers that I will freeze for later.

Garnished with fresh cilantro

Chey had to do a taste test...

It passed! I'm surprised it wasn't too hot for her. Even with the green chiles, she liked it. I guess they were mild enough for her.

Soaking Up the Sun
It never fails, every time we want a group photo of the girls, Cheyenne wants no part of it. In this situation, she was extremely concerned with her hair. : /

Guess... Do you think mommy or daddy fixed her hair?

I took her down the slide...

Her face is priceless and sums up who she is...CRAZY FUN!

To the moon

Bella enjoyed her first trip to the park!

She loved being outside and she was in the best mood.

Trey was running around the park, like he was eight.

Monkey Bars

SMILE

Face First

I think she went down every slide at the park.

Too much air on this slide. WHOA, back it up!

Okay, it wasn't that bad

It was windy out there, but we didn't blow away.

Cause the Party Don't Stop...
Last night, these party animals stayed up until 3 am playing Jenga and LIFE. Amy and I fell asleep way before then, but they cleaned out the brownie pan and even made a special trip to Wal-Mart at midnight, to buy these two games.

Before they hit the road, back to Abilene, they had to play another round. They had to give Trey an opportunity to win...which he finally did.
Back tracking a little:
This morning, I made breakfast for everyone. The trusty lazy susan came in handy. Bacon, eggs, biscuits and sausage. You can't say I don't know how to feed my guest. We had a great weekend visiting with the girls. We went shopping, we played, we went out with Amy for drinks, we had a ton of fun. Good weekend seeing the girls!

Lake Run: 6 Miles
Distance: 6 miles
Duration: 57:29
Average Pace Per Mile: 9:34
Weather: 64 degrees. South wind at 13 mph = WINDY.
I planned on running 12 miles, but once I was out there, I decided I would be miserable and I really didn't want to complete a long run in those kind of conditions. I ended up going to the lake and took a minute break by the water.

Yesterday, I did a P90X legs workout, so my legs were sore from all those lunges and squats.

I'm such a morning runner and I have to admit this time change has messed with my running. I prefer to run as soon as the sun rises, but here lately the sun rise is at 7 am. That is sooooo LATE!

Spring Break Visitors
Yesterday evening, Cheyenne and I headed to see Bella, Tasha, and Mom at Dairy Queen. Mom meet me halfway, so I didn't have to drive all the way to Abilene to get them. THANKS MOM! Plus, it was a good excuse to eat dinner at DQ. Hello, hunger buster burger! Oh and they put jalapeños in my burger and I didn't even ask for them. It was such a tasty surprise.
Now, I'm singing: DQ, that's what I love about Texassssss.

Mom bought us dinner. Aww, thanks mom! We love grammie.

Note to ovaries: Two babies is all the ELEMENT can handle.

This morning, I cranked out a killer P90X workout: legs and back. Tasha said she wanted to join me, but then flaked out --- I think she was scurred, but she didn't admit it. I don't blame her, legs and back scare me too. My legs were literally shaking....wall squats!
Afterwards, we packed up the girls and headed to Chick-fil-A to get a free breakfast. This month, in the DFW area, they are giving away free breakfast meals every Friday. You have to sign-up for the text notification...look it up if you are interested. On the agenda today, we wait for Amy (big sister) to come to town. She's going to visit with us too! Yay for Sisters!

She Doesn't Like Tomatoes -- Right
Cheyenne stole this from my cutting board, when I wasn't looking. She may be short, but when she wants something that is on the counter top, she gets on her tippy toes, stretches her arm and REACHES for it.

She prefers to eat tomatoes whole, like an apple. It's weird because she goes through phases of like and then not liking tomatoes. I guess, she's back in the "I like tomatoes phase." Good! because I buy a large quantity each week and I need help eating them.

It looks like she's busting out some dance moves.

Race Photos From The St. Patrick's Day 5K
I don't run, I fly. Both feet off the ground. NICE.

The race path was basically a narrow sidewalk on the Trinity Trail. So, there wasn't a ton of elbow space. I spent a good deal of time dodging runners and they were dodging me too. It seemed easier to run in the grass.

I didn't want to run with my water bottle, but my personal race photographer/cheerleader got a service call so I carried it with me. Looking back, I'm glad I did.

I love the color of this tank.

P90X. Week 2. Day 9.
I completed the first week of P90X and all I can say is OWIE! Well, at the moment I'm not sore, but last week I was burning.
Yesterday, I felt sick, so I skipped a workout, but this morning I was back to it. Today, I'm thinking about pulling a double. It was Chest and Back + Ab RipperX this am, so I'm thinking about running 6 miles tonight - to make up for the plyometrics workout, I should've done (today). Better to do a double now, before the Chest and Back soreness settles in.
Hey, I can mark this off my to-do list -- I copied our P90X DVD's over to .m4v format. Now, I can sync the workouts to my phone or just keep them archived on my computer.
Random thoughts about P90X so far:
1. It still hurts.
2. As much as it hurts, it has been refreshing doing something different.
3. But I have to say I MISS running ALL the time.
4. I like to reward myself with a recovery drink after most workouts. My HoneyMilk stash is dwindling down (sad face).

5. I think I like pumping iron!
6. I kind of fell asleep, last week when I was doing yoga at 4 am. I drifted off for a moment and had to shake it.
7. I try to convince myself that P90X will make me a faster, stronger, runner. One week of doing it and I'm convinced!
