My Week in Photos

I'm exhausted, I woke up this morning and ran 13 miles. Even though I'm tired, I thought I'd throw some photos up.
I don't care how old you are, it's pretty exciting when you get mail from a friend. Thanks Brianna for the surprise!

Dakota and I made new friends and they are twins.

Friday night we had Family Date Night at the Keg! I got so full eating appetizers, that I didn't even finish my applewood bacon wrapped filet <--- that's a mouthful. That's ok. I had it for brunch, today. 
Amanda sent me this photo. She was prepping food for all the kids. This past week, she was watching another girl, as well. Monday, I usually pack all the food for my girls for the entire week. I guess, this day Amanda wanted to plate all the food. Cheyenne had the orange plate.

While I work, the girls get to do fun stuff like go to the park. Cheyenne, not pictured, was probably running around chasing Luke.

But it's ok that they go to the park and are out and about because then all they want to do afterwards is this...

Family Date Night: Fancy Pants Edition

This evening our little family went out to eat at the keg steakhouse and bar. It's a fancy steak restaurant, I was really impressed. Trey doesn't take me out much. I'm kidding, but really, I'm more of a Chili's, Logan's or Pizza Inn --- kind of girl.

The lighting at the restaurant was pretty dim, Trey had to use his flashlight on his phone to read the menu.

We had a wonderful experience at the Keg and the food was heavenly. I highly recommend it for a date night or family date night too (why not?). We took the kids.

I'm not sure if they always do this, but our waiter brought out a kid appetizer for Cheyenne.

What's your favorite cocktail? I usually stick with a margarita. Have you ever had a bellini? I tried one for the first time, tonight. It's a sparkling wine and peach purée cocktail. It's an A+ drink, in my book.

Herb Garlic Shrimp appetizer -- this was all mine. For the main course I tried the filet mignon wrapped in applewood smoked bacon. Mmmmm, b-a-c-o-n. The only thing I didn't care too much for was the dessert. It's probably because I overloaded my taste buds and by the time dessert rolled around, my taste buds were like, noooooo -- we can't take anymore, too much stimulation! Ha, maybe.

I'm stuffed with food! Now, I must run 100 miles, this week. I'm kidding! But really, I ate enough food to sustain me, for at least a week and a half. All I want to do is this....Dakota knows, what's up. 

Family Date Night

Last night was a family date night at Pizza Inn. Look what Trey colored, just kidding -- He was just signing Cheyenne's name.


We don't make Cheyenne wear a bib all the time, but when she eats spaghetti, she either wears a bib or she goes shirtless. Public Resturant = Bib.

I can get pretty dirty too, but instead of wearing the stains of pizza grease on my dress, I go through about 10 napkins in one sitting.

After dinner, we put together six puzzles.

Chey is still enjoying ballet classes. I had to do some light stickwork on her ballet slippers. He bow fell off. Now, it's just like new.

Here is my training from last week. This morning I went to the gym and ran 6 miles. Not this weekend, but next weekend is the COWTOWN Half Marathon. I think I'm ready. 

The Winner Is & National Yogurt Day....

The winner of the Chobani Champions Greek Yogurt giveaway is.... LINDA! Thanks for following the blog via google and that's the entry tag I drew. I also want to say thank you to everyone who participated. I got about 7 new blog followers. AWESOME!

Linda is a new mommy, so she can use this yogurt as fuel. Plus, it's a grab and go kind of snack, perfect for a busy working mommy like her. Congratulations Linda on the baby and winning yogurt! I'll message you the details.

Did you know today is National Yogurt Day?
How appropriate! Yogurtland is celebrating by giving away free yogurt and toppings from 4 - 7 pm. Our family took advantage and stopped by. I've been wanting to try this place and I finally got a chance to for FREE! Soft-serve yogurt tastes like ice cream. For the reals!

I got cheesecake and frappicino flavor, topped with M&M's, chocolate chips, carmel, and cereal. Word to the wise don't try the peanut butter jelly flavor. Yuck. 
Chey enjoyed dutch chocolate...and Trey enjoyed the swirl. We will be back for more yogurt. Thanks Yogurtland for a free family date.

West 7th Family Date Night

Last night, we went out to dinner and afterwards, Trey wanted to take us to Sweet Sammies.

We sat on the Movie Tavern patio and people watched.

I was so full from dinner, so I picked at Chey's ice cream. Krazy Kookie Dough Ice Cream, you gotta try this flavor.

Lately, she doesn't like sharing her food with me. She'll say, "Momma, don't eat all my food!" It's embarrassing when she says that when we're in public. People probably think I eat her food all the time. -- BTW I don't :) In this photo, it looks like she's about to punch me with her sprinkle cookie. I'm telling you, she doesn't like sharing with me.

Family Date Night

Somebody has strong pregnancy cravings. Friday, before dinnertime I told Trey I was craving pizza or mexican food. We ended up going to Rosa's. It was so nice to have an impromptu date night with the family. We should do that more often during the week. And we should obviously bring back pizza and a movie night on Friday's. All in favor say I. I --- infinity!

Do you have a scheduled date night with your family? I know a few couples we go to church with make it a point to go out once a week as an entire family. I don't think the restaurant needs to be expensive, it's just nice to all go out, enjoy each others company.

Anytime, I order food from a drive thru, Cheyenne will start yelling, "I want a burrito!" It doesn't matter if it's a hamburger joint or Chinese, the girl wants a bean burrito.
