Yapping Her Trap
So, Monday night, it must've been around 11 pm: I'm all snuggled up sleeping after I took a theriputic bath and out of nowhere I hear my little beagle yapping her trap. She wouldn't stop barking. So, I layed there for 20 mins. thinking okay any minute now she's gonna stop. 20 mins. later BARK, BARK, BARK. I had no other choice than crawl out of bed and have a little talk with her. I talked and well, she's a dog so she listened. In order to get some sleep I put her in the shop where she normally sleeps, but this time I blocked the doggie door to where she couldn't get out. 30 mins. later I was dreaming. Overall, she's pretty good. When I study in the afternoons I let her in the house.

Back to it
I'm back at school working hard. I've had a lot of down time. It's nice only taking 12 hours. I'm focusing on the classes that really count. Today Linda stopped by the radio station and we chatted for a while before I had to go to class. I talked to a few people about producing a tv show and they all seemed interested, but their all busy. I guess I'll see what happens. Trey's 23rd B-day is coming up. We're gonna have a get together Thursday and I have to make a cake. I think I'll make a strawberry one. I'm so glad football season is almost over. Only one more game to go .

Uneventful
It's been an eternity since I've been able to sleep in. I did this morning and it was wonderful. I then made my way to the kitchen to eat cold pizza. yummy. I really enjoy days like these...you know uneventful. So, classes start Tuesday and I've been mentally preparing myself. You can do it, Dom. One more semester can you believe it? I remember when I was in high school and I didn't even think I'd be here. Well, here I am. In less than 17 weeks I'll be out of here.

Downgrading to Little Sleep
Last night was very unusual. Trey had this idea that we should sleep in the guest bedroom becasue we have that room and we've never even slept there. This was a major downgrade. Going from a king size bed to a full. It was so different. I slept fine, but Trey woke up in the middle of the night and went to our bedroom to catch his zzz's. I asked him in the morning why he left and he said because he heard odd noises. He tried to freak me out by saying our house is haunted. I know he's joking, but it still bugs me that he says that. Well, It is an old house...hmm. Today I'm getting ready for the screening I'm having at my house. I have to go home and pick-up a little and make some finger foods. Yum, Yum. It should be a good crowd. I can't wait.

Shake my Booty
New Year’s was a blast. Amonda cancelled her get-together, so we didn’t’ go there, instead Trey and I went up to The Zone and played pool with his dad and brother. It was nice, but the smoke was killing my eyes. We were there a few hours then we left and met up with my family at Enrique’s. They had a Mexican DJ there, so I danced the New Year in. As soon as we yelled the count-down, Trey and I dashed out to the parking lot because we didn’t want to get hit by a drunk driver. I’m sure Trey and I looked liked the drunks, racing each other to our vehicle. We’re such dorks. So, far my resolution is going well, I’ve worked out several times this week and Trey and I have an appointment with our personal trainer tomorrow. Oh, the pain of fitness.

End of the Year Bonfire
So, last night we went over to Trey's co-workers house and ate smore's over an open fire. It was super nice outside and it reminded me of a few weeks ago when I was in LA. A huge group of us went to the beach and had a bonfire. Good times. Well, like promised, I went and got my gym membership. I'm gonna hit the gym hard this weekend. As far as tonight, I think Amonda is having a get together at her place, but I know for sure we're going to Enrique's. I can't wait. Happy New Year's.

Resolutions & Massive Hogs
I'm so gonna join a gym. I'm going today to sign-up. Besides getting a six pack this year. I'm going to read, sleep, and enjoy life more. I'm really getting an itch to make another short movie. I don't know what it will be about, but I'm going to start brainstorming. Does brainstoming have one or two m's? Who cares. Today we dropped Mr. Bruiser off at the vet. We weighed him and he's massive. The hog weighs 72 lbs. If he keeps this up he'll weigh more than me and that's just not cool. AS it is, I can't even take him walking, Trey has to handle him for me. Even though he's a huge brute and has devilish looks to him, I still love him.

The Coffee Bean and far away friends
So, the other day I checked my mail, like any other day and to my suprise I recieved a napkin letter from my roomate in L.A. Apparently the day I left, that night Sarah and Danielle (my old roomates) went to The Coffee Bean Tea and Leaf. This is my absolute favorite place in the entire world. If you want good coffee try it there. That night they went to the CB and wrote me a letter. It was so wonderful. Sarah even got my favorite drink...the caramel ice blended.

The Tree
I love Christmas. It's wonderful. The only thing I hate is taking down the tree. I'm really glad...now that we didn't put any lights in front of the house. I think I need to read a book or something. Humm, what will I read?

Who wants to work on Christmas Eve...ME, ME, OH PLEASE
Yes I'm working, but it's alright, I will survive.
At least it gets me in the Christmas spirit since I've been playing tons of Jolly music. It looks like Trey and I will spend Christmas with our family and pig out like everyone else does. I can't wait. Bring on the Food!

My Tearful Goodbye
I would like to say that Narnia is an amazing movie. Last night I went to a studio screening here in Los Angeles and afterwards they had a panel discussion with some of the people involved in making the movie. It's a really good movie worth watching. Afterwards, I came back to the apartment and met up with my other roomates. We're all dreading saying goodbye to each other. This morning Mary woke me up at 4 am. She woke me up to say goodbye. I was half awake and half asleeep, but I managed to pull it together to give her a hug. It's tough you know, hoping you'll see people again, but not knowing if you ever will. I didn't realize how dificult saying goddbye could be. So here we are now. I'm just waiting for my flight. I fly out of LAX and I'll be home before I know it. Well, God's been good to me. I've made lasting friendships and I have wonderful memories.

Goodbye Angeles
The screening went well. The movie was a comedy and people were laughing so that's refreshing. I'm so sad to be leaving. I've grown fond of the friendships I've made here. Everything will be fine. Last night was a blast. My roomates and I went to The Alcove for cake and drinks. We got back to the apartment and watched the entire 2nd disc of student films. It took forever to watch, but it was amazing to see all the talent I've been surrounded by this semester. So, today I'm cleaning the living room, going to see Narnia, complete my packing, and that will be it for me. I fly out around noonish. It's crazy to think I'll be seeing my husband tomorrow. I can't wait. If your reading sweetie, I just want to say thank you so much for being so supportive this entire time. I love you and I'll see you sooner than later.

The Packing Begins
So, I started packing today. Apparently, I have to fit everything I brought out here to L.A. in 2 suitcases. Not to mention the junk I bought since I've been here, like an ice cream suit. I'm hanging out at school right now. I'm getting ready for the last screening. We're watching everyones short films and that's it. It's the last event of the semester. Last night we all went to the LAFSC banquet in west hollywood. You know I've been telling my roomates I'm not going to cry because I'm so ready to get out of junior high, but last night as we were all praying in a group I swore I felt a wet drop in the corner of my eye. All I know is I have 2 nights in L.A. and I'm going to make the most of it.

Inhale LA
Well, today was the last day of internship. How exciting…I know. I’ll miss it. The last couple of days my body has been trying to catch up with my brain. Wednesday I pulled an all nighter, editing my movie. It’s close to completion, but my crew and I are still making minor adjustments. In editing time I guess minor adjustments equal many many hours. So, maybe we’re not close to being done. Wednesday we screen our films in class. I can’t wait.
So, since I’m leaving in a few days, I want to inhale as much of Los Angeles as I can. Everyone tells me you have to experience In and out Burger. I went last night and it was good, but if you go there don’t have the milk shake, it’s horrible. Yuck, yuck. I’ve done a lot of the LA stuff, but I guess there are a few more things I should do like buy a shirt or something. Okay maybe not, but next week a group of us are going to the price is right.

Movie Madness
Hello. Today has been about getting back into the regular routine. I only have two more days left of internship. I'm in post production right now so i'll be up late with my editor working on or last movie. When I'm done with film school I'm not going to know what to do with all my free time. Especially since I'm so used to making short movies. In a matter of 3 months I've directed 4 short movies. Oh, my god, that's insane! I should be dead!
Movie #1
This was about a man who was obsessed with ice cream.
Movie #2
This was a hardcore drama about an adultress who wrote all her intimate feelings in her Journal.
Movie #3
This was about a woman who's going into labor and takes out all her agression on her poor husband when the elevators aren't working and she has to walk down 12 flights of stairs.
Movie #4
A monster whose true passion is playing golf.
I can't believe it's almost over....how sad.

Turkey Break
So, the break has been wonderful. I'm house sitting for the director of my film school. Her house is real gothic, so it's a little creepy, but it's been good being away from the drama and fast pace of LA. I like Los Angeles, but I've realized that I love Texas. LA is a nice place to visit, not to live. And I've lived here long enough to know. Good thing I'll be on a plane back home in 2 weeks. Anyway, I spent thanksgiving at a friends apartment. There was a huge group of us from school. This is the first time I've spent thanksgiving away from my family, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I actually enjoyed myself, imagine that. All my roomates, all 4 of them, went home over the break so I've had a chance to spend time at this house by myself and reflect over this past semester. I've learned a lot about myself and about how special the connection of family is. How wonderful friends are and how blessed I am to have people who care about me. And I've realized that failure is only when you don't chase after you dreams, even if people think your crazy because you want to live in LA for a few months while your husband is living and working in Texas. I love my life and I wouldn't change anything.

Sometime today
So, yeah it's been a while since I've dropped some lines. Trey and I bought a new vehicle, a 2004 Honda Element. We love it! Today I meet with a committee from ACU about L.A. I hope everything works out. I'm excited, anxious, and nervous.

All Better
Yeah so now that I'm over my sickness, Trey is the one suffering. He has a bad case of broncitis. Poor guy...I am so glad I'm finally over being sick. Yeah, it was pretty bad. One day I took the whole box of kleenex to class. Spring Break is next week and Trey and I still don't have any definite plans. It sounds like we'll be here for the most part. Right now we're watching South Park. It's a pretty funny show.

Sick
I guess you could say I've been sick. My throat has been killing me! I starting coughing Monday afternnon and next thing you know I'm sick Tuesday morning. Well, I actually accomplished something today. I finished my history paper. Now all I have to do is tackle my other 7 page paper due Friday. Sometimes I wish I was like Trey...he's already out of school and working, he never has homework.
