This Little Piggy Went to Bed

Since, Cheyenne was busting at the seams wearing twelve month sleepers, we decided it was time to promote her to the next size. Now she has room to grow.

A Screaming Good Time

Amy, Hilario, Natasha, and Angelica are spending the weekend with us. Cheyenne is loving the company!

I'm having a good weekend too. Yesterday, evening I met up with some girlfriends and we surprised Erin with a night out. It was a late birthday-slash-appreciation celebration. She does so much for us and never asks for anything in return. She was really surprised. There was a group of us, I think seven?...we arrived early to the movie tavern and once Erin showed up with her sister, we were all like, "Hey, Erin! What's up?" It took her a moment to process it, but we explained we were there for her. She was blown away. We watched the movie, When in Rome (a movie that most of us would not be able to watch with our husbands, since it's a chick flick) and then later went out for coffee. I really appreciate all those ladies and I feel blessed to have them in my life. I'm blessed beyond measure.

Snow Galore

We are making the most of this snow day.

Trey kept hitting me with snowballs to make Cheyenne laugh. I didn't mind because we got some great photos of her smiling.

Big SMILE!

I returned the favor, right before Trey snapped this one, I socked him right in the chest with a big snowball. That's why I'm smiling so big.

Snowmageddon! 12 Inches

Yesterday, I eventually went to work around 9 am. I only stayed for a few hours and then my boss made me go home, she was worried the roads were going to get bad. So, I made my way home around 1 pm and then 2 hours later the university announced they were closing school the rest of the day. If I had thought about it (Wednesday), I would've prepared my video projects, so I could work on them from home. Yesterday, before I left work, I did that, but UTA, along with every major district in the area cancelled Friday classes. Yes, a real snow day!

This is the largest snowstorm ever recorded in the DFW area. 12 inches of SNOW! And it looks beautiful outside. Yesterday, Trey and I made a snowman and wrapped our Dallas Cowboys flag around his neck. We did this while Cheyenne was napping at Katy's. I kinda of felt guilty that we were having so much fun without her, but she needed her rest.

All these pictures from this post, were taken yesterday. I will post more pictures later, so you can see how much snow we got, since then.
Sidewalk
Thursday nights I usually run 4 miles, but since I was home early I got on the treadmill, opened the blinds and enjoyed watching the snow fall. I have no idea how I'm going to get my long run in this weekend. I was planning on running 11 to 12 miles.

Snow Day???

I'm hoping UTA closes school, due to weather.
Cheyenne was disappointed because I woke her up this morning. I drove to Katy's house to drop off Chey and then decided I should turn around and wait to see what happens. I'm hoping for a snow day! Now, we're at home watching and waiting for updates.

ALERT: Baby Walking

Most days, Cheyenne could care less about walking, but this evening she was walking and laughing.
I think she walks like a drunk sailor.

In this next video, I'm not sure if you can hear it, but she farted,
while I was recording.
I couldn't believe it and you can hear me say,
"No, she didn't just fart."

We recorded this video clip, a few weeks ago.
We were trying to get Cheyenne to walk and at the end of the video you hear Trey and I talk about
cheese. Yeah, we tried bribing her with cheese. Hehehe.
It didn't really work, but she liked the treat.

Super Bowl 2010

For Super Bowl Sunday, we drove out to Coppell to visit with family; Jeremy and Jerrica. They were living in Houston and recently moved to the area. Trey and I are so happy we have family nearby. We stayed for the pre-game and then headed back to our house to watch the game. We had a few guest and lots of game food.
Adam's girls played with Cheyenne, while I cooked. We had queso, chips, brownies, cookies, and pizza subs.
Dinner Time
I took my eyes off of Cheyenne for a moment and I looked over and saw Sierra feeding my baby brownies. Yeah....So, now they are best friends. The younger one is Sierra.
Pick me up
Sierra really wanted Cheyenne to look at the camera.

Girly Girl: 14 Months

I guess since football season is over, we need to start dressing Cheyenne in little dresses, especially on Sunday's when we go to church. Normally, we dress her in Cowboys get-up, but today she was all girl--in her little sailor outfit.
14 months
Last week, Trey was out of state working. We really missed him and we are glad he's back. I took this photo at church this morning, right before we dropped Cheyenne off at the nursery.

And this photo was taken at the house. Cheyenne loves taking items out of the diaper bag and then putting them back in. It's a game to her and very entertaining.

Cutie Pie

Nice Parenting

I like this parenting style, taken from ABC's Modern Family. This show is really a LOL sitcom.

The Dad, Phil, is my favorite character.

Compost, We Meet Again

I started composting back in July. Check out the original pile.

Now, look at it. It's beautiful.
No more kitchen waste for you
The pile still needs time to completely break-down. When I mix it, I can still see a few peels, from the most recent kitchen purge. Each week, I walk out with my kitchen waste and dump it, turn it, and water it. A chore, but it's nice to see that it's actually paying off.
It looks nice and moist
In hopes that it will be ready for spring, I've decided not to add anymore waste or clippings to it. I will continue to water and turn it each week. I want to continue to compost, so I started a new pile to the left. This new side will be my new garbage disposal.
Starting a new pile on the left
I've added countless, banana peels, apple peels, orange peels, coffee filters, and a whole lot of other stuff. Hey, did you know you can add the lint from your dryer to a compost pile? Yeah.

A New Year. A New Chapter.

Something new:
While I'm working, Mrs. Katy will be watching Cheyenne. Chad and Katy are good friends of ours. They have three kids. We are excited about this new chapter and Cheyenne is already having a blast playing with her buddies! This afternoon, I was setting up for a video shoot and I received this MMS. Cheyenne was having so much fun, she missed a photo op....
