For about 10 months, I've been contemplating getting a new computer. After a number of weddings who have booked this fall and photography bookings...I've decided it's time. I got some input from other wedding videographers who are using iMac's. They all said upgrade everything on the 27 inch and you will be satisfied with the performance. So, that's what I did.
Have you ever lost track of time on Pinterest? Well, do a search for "office closet." That's what I'm doing with my home office.
I've always been in love with small nooks. Trey uses our official office nook for work. The photo below is from several years ago.
We thought about moving Trey's office to the spare bedroom, but he has really gotten comfortable here, so that's where he's staying.
Soooo, this is my space. I was already using it for work, but now I'm really maximizing the real estate. Trey is going to extend the desktop surface, so it's a deeper work area. Y'all, I love it already!!!! It also doubles as a standing workstation. What do you think?
This is how I was using the space before...I love how I can close the door and tuck everything away, when I don't want to even think about editing. :)

You Know It's VBS Week & An Office Space Promotion
You know it's Vacation Bible School week, when Chey falls asleep in the car. She's been going to bed around 9 pm and then I wake the girls up before sunrise, so I can get to work.
Speaking of work, after 7 years of being in a windowless office (and on the first floor) - I finally got an office space promotion. If I stand in the corner of my office, I can see six flags. I love the window view, even if the majority of it is looking at a parking lot. It's so much better than where I was before, scenery wise. Once I get my office studio arranged, I'll post a photo.
This was my old office space.
Since I'm a few floors up, I'm trying to get in the habit of taking the stairs, instead of the elevator.
Do you have any fun weekend plans? I'll be recording a wedding tomorrow. That will make it my third wedding in June. Hmmm, it sounds like I'm going to be consumed with editing for the month of July. At least I enjoy it. Have a great weekend!

Work Stuff & This is my Office
This is what I've been up to at work. Product testing.

Have you ever seen my office? Here is one view of it. I really like my space! No, I love it! There's lots of room for me to roll around in my office chair. I remember when I interviewed for the position, I was shown the office and I was told, "if you are hired, this would be your office." I was so excited and I hadn't even been offered the job. I have it decorated super girly. On the opposite side of the wall I have three flower framed photos.
The above photo is a still frame from the GoPro Hero 3+
So, where was I…Yeah, product testing. This is such a wonderful toy!

And this is an audio recording device. Today, I used it to re-record a voiceover for a video I'm working on. It looks really complicated, but it's not.

I'll leave you with two images of my girls.

Lately, Dakota is obsessed with those PJs. When she sees them she barks. haha!

My Week in Photos
Here is a look at Trey's home office space. He has always used the office, but since he got his promotion - he's been using it often.

I'm looking forward to holding her all weekend.

And hopefully watching the Cowboys win, again on Sunday. Last week, we watched the game at Nate And Breanna's house. Before last week, every time we'd watch the game, we'd watch it at our place and the Cowboys would always lose. Since they actually won this last game we have a new rule: When watching the game with Nate and Breanna, we must watch it at their place. It's mandatory!

Who taught this girl how to pose? I don't do the the "hip pose" Where did she learn that?

Now, I'll take credit for showing her this. She looks like a bird. Ha!
Do you have any plans this weekend? We'll be celebrating Cheyenne's 4th birthday, tomorrow.

Like a Boss
Trey is being all humble and quiet over here, so I guess I'm going to be the one to share the good news. I want to celebrate his accomplishment and I'm sure you guys would like to celebrate with us.
So, here's the big news -- Trey has accepted a position as the Service Manager, for the company he works for. This is a huge deal!!!! I'm so proud of Trey.
Did you know Trey started off in the HVAC field when he was in high school? Originally, he wanted to study architecture and that was probably the path he was going to take, on through college --- Instead, he ended up in a high school HVAC class because it was the only one that worked with his schedule. He found out he was really good at it and he enjoyed it.
Trey started working for an HVAC company in Abilene when he was in high school, for a little over minimum wage. After graduating high school, he attended Universal Technical Institute in Houston, he graduated and moved back to Abilene and that's what he's been doing ever since. He went from being an Installer, to Service Technician and now Service Manager. Way to go Trey! You inspire me to do more! Seriously, what have I done with my life???? :)
My new nickname for Trey is Boss.
This above picture was taken this past summer.
Trey's new position, will require him to do some work from home. Our little office nook is about to get some love.
