How was your weekend?
Saturday, Trey and I toured the Sixth Floor Museum. We took the self-guided audio tour. If you are in Dallas and looking for something to do, this is a wonderful tour.
Rich in history.
JFK Memorial.
After the tour we walked around and ate at Hard Rock Cafe. Later that night, we went shopping at North East Mall, went to the movies and watched Kingsman: The Secret Service and ended our night eating dinner Carrabba's. That was the first time I had ever eaten at Carrabbas's. I got a pizza, it was alright.

Fort Worth Museum of Science & History
After we toured the Thistle Mansion, we headed over to the Museum. This was our first visit. I didn't really know what to expect. I was blown away. The whole family enjoyed it.

Toddler Play Area

All this time I thought I was 5'4. No. I'm 5'3. WHAT? Shorty.
Don't worry Chey, you will grow.

Making paper airplanes...

Watching them fly

Pinwheels!

Behind the scenes at the Omni Theatre
Cheyenne was not a big fan of the Omni, well not at first. Watching an Omni movie is like being in the center of the action. There is so much to see! The opening scene of the movie was an ariel shot, it was a bit overwhelming for me, so I don't blame Cheyenne for not loving it. After a few minutes, she calmed down and enjoyed the movie.

Went shopping at the Y2K store? Really, what's up with the shelves.
I feed her. I really do.

Self-checkout

I had one of these as a child, the kid size...not the supersize one you see here
CHEY! Okay, now let's spell out DOMINIQUE. No?
Toddler Friendly Computer
Trey Friendly Computer
Ranch and Cattle Area

Ride it Cowgirl...OH and Cowboy!
The sad thing is, she scored better than both of us
There was so much to see. I'm actually considering becoming a member of the FWMSH. I'm thinking about it. You with me?

9/11 Tribute

Okay, that was a lot of pictures. I have more to post of our vacation adventures, but they will have to wait until tomorrow. Today, we went to the State Fair. More to come, later.

Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa
Saturday, we took a little drive to Tulsa, OK and toured the Philbrook Museum of Art. This Italian Renaissance villa was built in the 1920's.
This is just part of the backyard backdrop...I know it's only part of it...

The guys standing outside looking cool.

And to get an idea of scale, here you go...

I would like to have a cocktail party in this backyard. Some jazz music would be nice. Maybe have some fancy finger food I can't pronounce. Hmm, sounds like a party.

This is the museum entryway.

Everything about this place is extravagant. Every architecual detail is absolutely gorgeous! Trey was in awe of the woodwork. It's impressive. Dear, Trey make me a room like this. Just kidding. Sort of...

Detail around one of the fireplaces

There was art all over the mansion.

I believe most of the second floor is used primarily as an art gallery. You can tell it has been remodeled.

I can't get over this yard. Wow.

I want to go back during another season to see EVERYTHING in bloom.

Because you haven't seen enough photos of it, here is video I shot. Panoramic view.
After taking the tour, we went to dinner at The Brook, an old converted theater. We also drove around Tulsa neighborhoods admiring million dollar homes.
