Pregnancy Has Fried By Brain

Don't ask me why, but Monday I made a salad, to take to work and instead of putting the salad in the fridge, I put it in the freezer. What the...????? I didn't realize it until this morning. Good Morning, ground beef ice! My spinach is going to be a soggy mess, I'm sure. Frozen Salad
Quick question: Why is it so hard to find the perfect handbag????
Yesterday, I was in search for the perfect purse. It took me several hours and a handful of stores before I found one, but it's not perfect.  Since I put a battery grip on my camera, my DSLR doesn't fit in my old bag. Here is what I was looking for when I was shopping.
1. It must hold my DSLR camera
2. The bag must close with my water bottle inside.
3. Exterior Pockets
4. Top opening, no flap openings.
5. Crossover Strap
6. Don't break the bank.
Purse that Doubles as a Photography Bag
Two things I had to compromise on was the price and the crossover strap. Did I really think I could find a decent purse at a Wal-mart price? Well, this bag fits all my needs, but I wish it had an option for a long strap. One day, when I hit it big time, I will get a Kelly Moore bag.

Here is an interior view of the bag. It comfortably holds my necessities, now I need to fight the urge to fill it to capacity, it's heavy with just these items, no need to add more weight.

Memorial Day
Yesterday, evening we went to the neighborhood pool party at Allen and Carmen's house. I ate a grilled burger and baked in the sun, while Cheyenne and Trey enjoyed swimming in the pool. I feel like Shamu, no need to put me in the water to remind me. Oh, and look my legs and feet are starting to swell. Yay, pregnancy.

10 more days!

I Almost Forgot About Abilene Wind

Distance: 13.6 Miles
-10 miles running solo & 3.6 intervals with Linda
Duration: 1:37: 40 (10 miles)
Average Pace Per Mile: 9:45 (10 miles)

Early Sunday morning, I did my pre-run morning routine, which includes checking the weather forecast. 25 MPH WIND GUSTS! Give a runner a break! I forgot how windy it can get in Abilene. I seriously considered not running, but I sucked it up and told myself I would give it a try and if the wind was unbearable I would turn around. I left Trey's parents house and didn't look back. Once I got going, it wasn't that bad. Although, for the first 5 miles I was running head to head with the wind. I kept thinking, as soon as I hit 5 miles, I'm turning around and this wind is going to carry me in and it did.

I ran a commercial route. There were blocks and blocks of gas stations and fast food places. I may start running this route, more often when I'm in town. The reason why I liked it so much is because I stopped at a fast food joint and got ice water and then again at a McDonald's to use the bathroom. It was convenient. I didn't have to worry about any sudden BM. What? Endurance runners you know what I'm talking about.

After running 10 miles, I planted myself on the cool pavement and waited for Linda to arrive.

We jogged/walked a good 3.6 miles.

Later, Trey and I met up with family at Buffalo Wild Wings.

After lunch and watched the Hangover 2 (AMAZINGLY FUNNY -- I was crying). That evening, we had a big get-together at Trey's parents house. Linda and Steve joined us too. They will be spending the summer in Abilene. That's so much closer than Oklahoma!

Our Memorial Day

Memorial Day 2010
This past Christmas, Maghen and Brandon got Cheyenne a kiddie pool. It may be summer, but Merry Christmas baby! Monday, I got the pool out of the box and started to blow it up in the living room. While I was getting light headed, Trey said, "Go get your hand pump, the one we used to blow up your exercise ball." After about 5 minutes breaking a sweat, Trey busted out his air compressor and within seconds we had an inflated pool in our living room. BAM!
Memorial Day 2010
We had to scrunch and squeeze the pool to get it out the back door.
Memorial Day 2010
We are going to have a great summer spending time in the pool!

Memorial Day

We spent some time out on the lake with some friends.

It's such a beautiful day. We saw a lot of people out on the water. But here it looks deserted.

Adam at the wheel. Trey asked him to hit some waves, to make the boat rock. Well, he hit some big waves and we got soaked. It was still fun.

We spent Saturday and Sunday in Abilene. We got back into Fort Worth this morning. While we were there we spent time with family. The weekend flew by. Here is a picture of Angelica with Cheyenne. Angelica loves being around Cheyenne. She enjoys singing to her.
