Just What I Needed: Another Hobby

Last weekend, Mom showed me how to crochet. Here is a hand towel that she started and I helped her finish.
A Project My Mom Started and I finished
Right now, I'm using it as a coaster.
Here is a close up of the pattern
I was so excited about the way that turned out. So, I started making Cheyenne a baby scarf. This was my first attempt. And I stopped and I think you can see why. Not too great.
A Scarf I started too wide. No bueno.
I didn't know how to properly crochet the ends, so I had to start all over. Since, I saw Mom this weekend, she showed me what I was doing wrong, so now I'm on the fast track to making Cheyenne's scarf. It should be done by the end of this week and I will post pictures. If I can afford the time, it might get done today.

I love being creative, whether it's taking pictures, making videos, or cooking. It's always nice to make something beautiful with my hands.

  1. Crocheting is so relaxing to me. I learned from my great-grandmother when I was about 8, and have doen it off and on since then. In college I taught myself to knit which I am still learning.

I hope you can get the hang of crocheting, and find all sorts of things to make. I have patterns for easy baby hats and stuff once you're ready to try some new things. Also, try getting an invite to Ravelry.com they have great patterns and such. It's a social networking site.

    Happy crocheting!
